All caught up on Kekkai Sensen now. Needs more Chain.
has yandere always been another word for crazy bitch
Not sticking to rigid cliched character archetypes is haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard.
don't talk to people who like yanderes
Because 98% of the time they're fans of Mirai Nikki and that's always a red flag
Not sticking to rigid cliched character archetypes is haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard.
Can anyone identify the anime where there's a guy with a bit of hair that sticks up and he's like deadpan to all the ladies wanting to cruise on his bologna pony? Like there's a mean girl a nice one a weird one and a crazy one. I need the answer quick or I'll go into convulsions.

So a while ago I said that I like how Bell is an underdog. Having seen a few more episodes I feel I should rephrase it. It's not that he's an underdog. He's got pretty OP skills. What it is that I like is that he starts from 0 (Even if he has accelerated growth or whatever). Shows like Log Horizon or SAO have the MC already king of the world from point a or at the very least from the first moments of the story. The first thing we see Bell doing is cowering in front of a monster ready to die almost peeing his pants. Sure he's kind of OP and the growth is fairly quick, but I like these stories (like The Gamer for example) where there's also a coming of age element. So, fun show I guess.
I'm far more interested in a shit-tier character on the strength-o-meter than the usual army-decimating protagonists because they tend to have more interesting fights and they can't effortlessly muscle their way through everything.
It might be interesting to have a show where everyone in the party including the protagonist is relatively shit and have to use teamwork and shit to overcome foes rather than having the party rely on like an OP member to blast through shit and they just cheer them on.

I can see it. A show less about the individuals and more about the group as a whole. That could be fun. Done right, it would avoid a lot of overused Shounen tropes. If it has a good focus on mechanics it could lead to some very interesting fights. Would it be Sci-Fi, or Fantasy? Or a little of both? In a sense it would be a "true DnD anime/story"
Isn't that a bit like what Kekkai Sensen is? [editline]22nd May 2015[/editline] Actually no. The cast is not shit, but they work well together. [editline]22nd May 2015[/editline] Oh and what about Hitsugi no Chaika? I never thought the cast was op or anything.
I feel like shows with fantasy settings underutilise the white mage/healer slot. If you have a magic-based healer then you can have a character get pretty fucked up in a fight and have characters take hits without resorting to the typical action trope of "blunt damage is not real damage". When was the last time somebody got punched across a room and didn't get back up like they had been lightly tapped? In addition you can have combat with pointy things with characters actually taking a hit. It's like with Jojo part 4 and how Crazy Diamond resulted in people getting absolutely demolished on a regular basis and getting immediately fixed up at the end of a fight, even more than Jojo's usual standards where characters get pretty heavily injured since if an attack doesn't kill you or permanently dismember you you're basically fine. [editline]22nd May 2015[/editline]
Oh and what about Hitsugi no Chaika? I never thought the cast was op or anything.
Chaika has an absolutely perfect fight in this. Unfortunately Chaika didn't have fights terribly often which tends to be the sacrifice for shows with good action; most of the time you get one short really good fight every five episodes. [vid]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/229468864/Webm/ChaikaFight.webm[/vid] [editline]22nd May 2015[/editline] Not everybody has to be Bones, but so many shows just have shit choreography and it's depressing to see action show after action show with shit action.
You know? For some reason I'm assuming this theoretical show is made by BONES.
You know? For some reason I'm assuming this theoretical show is made by BONES.
So it has a less than spectacular ending then.

Nanatsu no Taizai kinda left me in a mood for good shounen and my big to-watch list doesn't seem to have any. Any good action-heavy shouen you guys would recommend? Sometimes I need more than a twenty second fight every four episodes.
When I read the description for Yamada-Kun and the 7 Witches I thought it was going to be some generic ecchi harem using body swapping as a shitty gimmick but boy am I glad I was wrong.

It kind of slips near the end, but I find the show enjoyable throughout.
The artstyle for Danna ga Nani ep8 was pretty nice.
It was a nice 'aww' episode Also they used superior first OP. [editline]23rd May 2015[/editline] I am also pleased with the inclusion of model trains in Punchline, that tickled my niche fancy. The plot gears are really starting to spin now. This show gets more and more daft by the episode, I love it!
