false, wasn't a headbump
The AnoHana movie was actually pretty good and added quite a bit to the story. Probably would have had more impact if i'd watched it right after the series had finished rather than a year down the line.
Unlimited Blade Works: [sp]Oh no, it looks like UBW is suffering from Dragon Ball Z syndrome. Is the script basically a word-for-word adaptation from the Visual Novel? Because as much as I like the fight animations from ufotable, mirror matches are the least engaging so I'd rather the fight was over sooner rather than later. Also, Shirou simply isn't an interesting fighter to watch. "I'm gonna charge directly at you. Oh no, that didn't work...but if I charge directly at you *again* then maybe...dammit, I didn't work but maybe if I try charging directly at you just like before..."[/sp]
Alright just watched it. [sp]It's not really word-for-word although it's been a while since I played through the VN but it's mostly VN accurate while making a lot of deviations like when Avalon is revealed (Never happens in the VN). Also it's not quite a true fight in a technical sense since the point of Archer fighting Shirou isn't just to kill him it's to break his spirit and admit his life and ideal is a lie so it makes the fight might drag out a lot, Archer could easily kill Shirou if he really tried using UBW's ranged techniques or whatever.[/sp] [editline]24th May 2015[/editline]
The AnoHana movie was actually pretty good and added quite a bit to the story. Done with TTGL, not gonna watch the extra's. I might go and watch some specials I've missed for other Animes now.
meanwhiile in japan a truck carries away a giant robot
Late by like a year, pal. They built a life-sized Ingram prop because it's cheaper than having CG for all of the scenes where it's hauled around or in the hangar. Man, I really don't like the new Ingram design. The exposed feet bother me and I hate the fact that they greebled it up and removed all of the streamlining. It's not like the original design wouldn't work in live-action either. [t]http://oi41.tinypic.com/2cxagqg.jpg[/t] New Ingram's square jaw is fucking ugly.
sorry i didnt realize today was a year ago
sorry i didnt realize today was a year ago
this is the fifteen thousand, four hundred and ninety-eighth time we've had this conversation
Man, than picture just reminds me about how much i fucking hate the tokyo skytree.
Don't feel that bad. My friend considers cons as a vacation, and always sets aside a set amount of money for vacations. Any money gone into a vacation is as good as spent, and if he has leftover money then cool he has extra money. If he spends it on useless shit at the con and a lot of food then oh well, he already planned to not have that money. It's only really bad if you're buying stuff you know you don't have money for.
This is kinda what I've done too. I planned on spending up to $500 there, and withdrew it all in cash. I have spent nothing on plastic so far, and don't intend to.
Plastic memories 8: [sp]So the show suddenly decided it was time for subject matter that was interesting and despite having to fight against the standard (bad) romcom shenanigans it managed to be a good episode. However, the whole "suddenly separated and can't find each other without running around dramatically" trope really needs to disappear or find a replacement in an age of mobile phones unless I'm to believe that using mobile phones to find people aren't a thing in the near future?[/sp]
I wonder how many have noticed the subtle changes in opening of Plastic memories. Ep2: http://a.pomf.se/gkicpv.png Ep8: http://a.pomf.se/ogvouy.png
this is the fifteen thousand, four hundred and ninety-eighth time we've had this conversation
How have you had a conversation about a truck moving a giant robot today that many times already? Damn you are (un?)productive.
Plastic memories opening changes ep1-ep8
That's quite cool tbh. And ep6-ep7 was cutest.

How do child/teenage androids work, anyway? Do they go to school like humans do? I imagine that android chassis don't change much outside of hair length, so in that situation, you'd have a high school sized kid going to elementary school in the beginning or an elementary school sized kid going to high school towards the end. The other option is that they just take the same year over and over again, which would be tragic. Or they say "Owner, I'm off to school!" and then just smoke robo-weed in an alley for the rest of the day.
-moe terminator-
oh god this show is going to be heartbreaking i can just FEEL IT
oh god this show is going to be heartbreaking i can just FEEL IT
It's moe Blade Runner, why do people keep making this mistake
It's moe Blade Runner, why do people keep making this mistake
i call it moe terminator because i like the way it sounds that's all
while the OP changes are cool and all the big issue is that the OP song is meh so who the fuck actually watches the OP more than once
i call it moe terminator because i like the way it sounds that's all
i call you worst girl because i like the way it sounds that's all
while the OP changes are cool and all the big issue is that the OP song is meh so who the fuck actually watches the OP more than once
meh OPs are a perfect time to quickly browse a website
Or they say "Owner, I'm off to school!" and then just smoke robo-weed in an alley for the rest of the day.
Isn't that basically Time of Eve?
i call it moe terminator because i like the way it sounds that's all
but moe blade runner sounds cool enough and is actually accurate to what the plot is about.
How about a plot twist where [sp] it turns out tsukasa has cancer and now his time is limited too.[/sp] Although honestly i can feel a plot twist coming at some point or another.
while the OP changes are cool and all the big issue is that the OP song is meh so who the fuck actually watches the OP more than once
It's a pretty pleasant song, I don't know what you're on about.
It's a pretty pleasant song, I don't know what you're on about.
It's yet another dull j-pop love song, completely unmemorable. If I wanted to listen to dull love songs, I'd put on a live action drama.
The fight in this week's Danmachi was very surprising. It was extremely well-animated and it was very long, and on top of that it didn't use any of the typical budget conservation techniques typically used to avoid animating parts of an extended fight, nor did it do any "move the camera so we only have to animate one person blocking the other" and all those sorts of things. Seriously, where'd all this budget come from for a pretty unremarkable fantasy LN adaption?
