Shiki is a shitty show about vampires taking over a village and the villagers slowly realizing it.
You know it from the start.
Man Danmachi would be such a cool series if it skipped some stupid fanservice/whatnot anime trope elements. The world they're in is really interesting, and I dig the animation. They also skip a lot of pointless shit, so the story is always progressing. Soundtrack reminds me of Elder scrolls, so I absolutely love it.
I don't know, I just really think these kinds of shows would be way better without the waifu shit.

The manga seems way more focused on fanservice than the other nanoha's, then the anime was done by A-1 pictures, who suck.
doomed from the start, though I'm still enjoying it it's basically nothing like the rest of Nanoha.

I enjoyed Shiki a lot
the pacing can turn many people away from it but boy does it all pay off in the end

A-1 pictures are really hit and miss but I wouldn't say they suck. Shigatsu, nanatsu no taizai and saekano were all good while gunslinger stratos and denpa kyoushi are some of the worst shows i've watched. I'm sure working s3 will make up for it tho.

While I was exaggerating a bit, they've mostly made shows I find to be completely terrible shit.
They appear to be the New JC staff, since JC Staff this season has so far made two shows that don't suck.

A-1 pictures takes on a bunch of shows every season,I'm surprised they even have a good amount of hits despite taking on a bunch of workload

90% of the budget went to hiring kamiya
Kinda disappointed by this week's JoJo.
I wished they took it a bit more slowly to build up the mystery behind Dio's power and establish his personality more(though they removed the sidewalk scene so I guess you can't do much about that)

Explain, how did it pay off in the end? It was a dreadfully boring show with no original thoughts of it's own.

I get the feeling that what we saw was panel-to-panel accurate. I doubt it could have been any slower than that.

Very noticeable in denpa kyoushi and gunslinger, they look like shit.

They probably put all of their effort into Nanoha because they know it's the most likely to make money.

I don't remember if the sidewalk scene was panel to panel accurate in the OVA but damn was it really good.
Dio's World in general was really damn good in the OVA and made Dio a legitimately scary figure so I hope they take more cues from that
Continued watching Danmachi after stopping at episode 2. Just like you ppl said. Bell is pretty good character and episode 3 was tons better than first two.
Without the little annoying shonen tropes this would be perfect.

While the set-up was slow I definitely enjoyed [sp]the doctor torturing his wife to know more about the Shiki, the tension after that during that whatever Festival thing, the Doctor completely exposing everything and the Shiki massacre following that. The show made me hate the Shiki so much I couldn't help but sit there and enjoy the slaughter.[/sp]
The small thrills here and there added to the experience too

Finished NGE, ending wasn't nearly as dumb as the internet hyped it up to be
Now onto EoE then I'll wait it out a few months before watching the rebuild films

Looking back at some of the old Oregairu episodes, the original panic over the subtly different character designs in the new season seems farcical. Mostly because the animation is actually a lot [I]better[/I] this season.
Although I'm still thrown off by Hikki's beady little pupils compared to everyone else's.

It wasn't much of a good show overall, so it was nice to have a change of pace and art.
