The Rakuen adaptation is still going strong.
Episode 7 was another great episode. It was an entertaining set up for the finale, which is probably going to span these last 3 episodes.
If I knew it was going to be 10 episodes before watching, I would have thought it would be shit and probably would have avoided it, but seeing how things are progressing I think 10 episodes is perfect for this.
Because there aren't a bunch of routes they're trying to cram in, it's turning out so much better than the Kajitsu adaptation. It's a great watch and I'm enjoying every bit of it. It's only making me more excited to read the VN when that finally gets translated and released.

Pretty good its got a unique concept and explores the issues that arise in that setting quite well. If you like sci-fi you will like it purely based on its novelty. Chances are you will like the total packet too though as its done quite nicely.
Its also quite impressive as it makes you nearly bust from laughter to feeling rather sad quite quickly. [sp]The super clunky outdated robot scene. Watching people pretend its human is hilarious. Watching it die a few minutes later after its intro is pretty damned sad. [/sp]

Well, I'm enjoying it so far despite its weirdness. Gilgamesh's art style is the st argument you can make against defined lips in an anime.

I'm not sure if they got better at drawing the faces or if I just got used to how ugly it is. It feels more like they started with extremely highly detailed designs and directly translated them into low detail with lines that are far too thick and poorly thought out faces.
The art syle would probably be fine in a very well drawn manga. Not so much in an anime.

Pretty sure it's as poor at the end as the start. The brain is good at adapting.
Yes, it would be fine if it was [I]well drawn[/I]. It was the art that got me interested in the first place, then I saw it in action.
It's a show with a lot of unrealized potential.

It's not bad.
I think the thing I like about Danmachi is that its silly, honest fun.
I will say I wish Gilgamesh was pushing itself just a little more towards horror. It could very easily be extremely unsettling but other than the first episode it seems reluctant to take that final step.
It could sure as hell use some world building too, I want to know how the hell the world works outside of the little isolated areas the main characters are in. I mean, you have an apocalypse that caused society to collapse then uncollapse and you're spending most of your time in an untouched area? Seems like a waste. The contrast between the world that fell apart and the restored high-class areas is only effective if you don't spend all of the time in the latter. It'd be like spending almost all of New Vegas inside the Strip.
