I don't understand setting anime in school, when I was highschool age the last thing I fucking wanted to watch was highschoolers. I've always wanted to read or watch stories about adults, teenagers are lame why would I want to relive my own boring life.
I always thought a high school setting can let weebs who had shitty times in High School "relive" a better experience. I think another portion of it is to take care of sloppy writing honestly. Having the MC get randomly introduced to people, or random events put the MC/Villian/Love interest/etc together makes it easier than planning out a plot. People have told me they set it in HS because that is the target age group, but I have a hard time believing that. No idea why it is hard to find a show with dudes in their post college/job years
Why not? Is it some thing of "well I've been spoiled for one thing so I may as well not watch it"? Or is it "[sp]I'm morally opposed to lesbians[/sp]"? Because there's also some extra stuff surrounding that matter.
Well, I've been told that that's the twist. But if it's early in the series then I might as well watch it.
hmm i've watched 7 episodes of kekkai sensen but don't really remember any of it. I especially don't remember that bit. So it's like i've seen it but it was still a spoiler. Unless it wasn't episode 7 and was actually episode 8 or something don't anime under the influence also ore monogatari is still pumpin out the awesome
The secret organization Libra protects both Earth and the Otherworld through the supernatural power of pantyshots
Well, I've been told that that's the twist. Went through the restaurant cook line, everyone was chill as fuck and it was literally shokugeki no souma with all the cooking competitions and making up our own insane recipes, and we had wine tasting classes (aka drink wine all day erry day) as 16 year olds which was fun

Maybe school backgrounds are easier to animate due to the fact that that its a relatively plain background? Honestly I have always found it fascinating how so often just about every element other then story can be good or sometimes even top notch. So many times I observe a piece of media and think "what a waste of resources." Its like cooking a dish that requires 3 hours of prep time and forgetting to add any spices.
i suppose its about time i wrote a serious post so i can detail the sad realities of otakus and why that demographic popularizes hs anime but its been a long day and im sleepy so good night come back tomorrow
Sounds good cya tomorrow.
Caught up with oregairu. Props to Garlickeh for catching and clarifying that one important scene where yui spoke ambiguously about loving the club [sp]and loving hikki, who didn't realize it was really a confession[/sp]
