I can't be bothered to make a list cause I know I'll end up watching way more than i want to either way. I hate anime.
Finished Yoru no Yatterman 8/10
Fate/Stay Night S2
Nisekoi S2
Sidonia no Kishi S2
Nagato Yuki-chan
three episodes:
Hibike! Euphonium
I'm still not sure what exactly what I'm going to watch for Spring. I know I'll at least be watching Yahari s2, Kaitou Joker s2, Lupin III, Ore Monogatari, Daana ga Nani s2, and Arslan Senki though.
how come no one is watching Knights of Sidonia?
I'm as excited for it as I am for UBW
excellent manga
how come no one is watching Knights of Sidonia?
requires watching first season, just like yahari
not happening until I clear backlog

I'm excited for it too. One of the few shows I'll be watching next season.
(Also, hopefully Sidonia will pave the way for more adaptions of Nihei's works in the future)

Sidonia 2 and Lupin look like the only anime I'm interested in so far for next season
Mainly looking forward to Oregairu S2, Mikagura, and Nagato Yuki-chan. Will also be watching Nisekoi S2, Shokugeki no Souma, Euphonium, and Punch Line, and then pick up shows later.
F/Z was good. F/N is ass, relatively speaking. (it's still good)
you're right fate/stay night is ass, but that came out in 2005 and was made by studio deen.
Unlimited Blade Works on the other hand, has even better animation than fate/zero, better fights, better music, more interesting characters. (seriously half the cast of zero is absolutely boring.)

I was talking about the Unlimited Blade Works adaption obviously. It's so boring compared to Fate Zero.
The spirits are less interesting, and their owners even less so, they're all talk no show.
It's funny because the way you described the servants and masters in UBW is how I feel about the them in Zero.

I mean, I'd say that there's a decent amount of action. The relationship between master/servant in this one is still good. I mean, look at Fate/Zero where Rider and Waver actually go shopping. That's a lotttttta action there ;)
But no, I totally dig the romantic tension between Emiya and Saber (and Tohsaka). The sadness you felt when [sp]Saber was taken by the..was it Caster? The witch.[/sp], and the continued struggle of Emiya to hone is prowess at strengthening magic. All of it is just glorious.
Unrelated, but I find this type of freakout hilarious;

what is it with otherwise average shows having really good action animation?
Yatterman finale was top-tier
edit:
okay nevermind

I didn't feel the singlest bit of sadness for anything that happened in S1 of F/SNubw.
What romantic tension? He's a dense dumbass that only treats her (and any other woman) like a normal human being, and gets flustered whenever anything suggestive is said, like every fucking main character in anime ever.
They're all flat boring characters are far as I'm concerned. Fate Zero at least had an actually twisted evil person that also looked the part, and Rider was just a fantastic person (his owner being the exact opposite). Zero dropped down a rating on the second season though, [sp]killing off caster as if his threat was nothing, making this giant hype cliffhanger and then just treated it like a water bubble getting popped.[/sp].
Basically the Fate series has dropped a rating for every half-season. 9-8-7, wouldn't surprise me if I ended up giving F/SNubw S2 a 6.
Well season 2 of UBW is all going uphill since the exposition is pretty much done. You'll have your action there.

The only Nihei work that I can see being adapted properly after Sidonia is Biomega. There was an anime of Blame! but it was pretty awful from what I've heard.

You literally rotated the Z and now it's a bad show. Man you're a picky fuck

Junketsu no Maria's final went full bible. [sp]Ezekiel was forced to choose a mother for defying the will of God, and she chose the virgin witch Maria as her mother, who had just entered a committed relationship with Joseph. The virgin Mary, in a relationship with Joseph, is pregnant. Maria just went full Jesus.[/sp]

You know, there's these things called webms, you can use them instead of making enormous gifs with Fraps.
In fact, I'm going to do you all a service. This right here is generally agreed to be the best GUI for making webms. It does everything. Resolution, subtitles, cropping, detailed quality settings, everything you need and more. Use it if you can't into command lines.

I just in general don't do a lot of video-related uploads (so I stick with fraps/gfycat) but hey I'll give it a try, thanks :D

watched Girl-Chan in Paradise
5.5/10
I watched the American remake since I saw the original series when I was really little, it's surprising how they changed certain things by a lot but left other things exactly the same. like Kotobaru-san-sama gets a lot of his scenes cut, and instead of showing his journey down the mountain of the dragon-bobcat demon clan, he just gives a one-off line about it in his introduction. meanwhile, Yusuke gets entirely reanimated for all of his scenes, but they keep the original cels for Kenstar the same, creating a jarring quality contrast.
Guy's voice actor is even more annoying in English, which is still fitting I guess, but it really grates the ears. I think the most controversial change was probably revealing Yusuke's true allegiance in just the second episode, instead of the finale of the first season, because it forced them to add a scene of Kenstar convincing him to join them so that it wouldn't be weird for the rest of the season--and yes, even more controversial than ass-pulling Guy surviving his self-destruct technique, 'cause he was never really a center character and he comes back in the second season as a talking parrot anyway. however, they might plan on using Kotomaru's big reveal regarding Galactic Amaru's weakness for the finale instead, since in the original series it was just thrown in out of nowhere with no context.
the dubbing is typical, kinda awkward usually, but Kotobaru's VA has it on point. it sounds more like the character than the Japanese VA ever did. I really like how they handled the first encounter with a Bushido Blaster captain, his VA is totally going for this Steve-Blum-flamboyant flair but it works just fine. there's a tiny bit of product placement but it's like ten frames in total so whatever.
overall it's a kind of a crappy remake and its low budget really shows, but the original was also on a shoestring and they still made it somewhat more accessible...I'm interested in how they handle the plot changes. I probably wouldn't have cared if I didn't have nostalgia, but I'll keep on watching as long as they don't do anything really stupid with it.
I really cannot wait fro Yahari Season 2 to start airing. Hachiman needs some love whether he wants it or not.

For some reason that ending went over my head because I was expecting Jesus.
