yes, everything is bad. like fate/stay night and shokugeki no souma... wait.
You mention these shows, but these two are two shows that anger me at my core. Fate/Stay Night more like Fate/Exposition Exposition, and it really annoys me how uninteresting the show is.
As for Shokugeki no Souma... Well, I don't like it a lot. I'm basing that on my experience with the manga. The main character is very dull, the cooking/food are irrelevant since they are only there for fan service/making the protagonist stronger. Not only that, the story is the most basic wish fulfillment/Otaku pandering story I've seen. If they cut the ecchi bullshit and gave more focus to the food I would probably love this show. If they just made it more about food and not about ecchi. It's really a missed opportunity that personally pains me.

It's a shounen battle manga, what the hell do you actually expect? You don't read/watch Souma for the food, you read it for the shit that happens during the battles. The food is a little bonus.
Vampire Holmes is AoTS so far
Hudson is my waifu
You don't read/watch Souma for the food, you read it for the shit that happens during the battles. The food is a little bonus.
See, but I do read it for the food. If it used the food in a good way... I donnu, maybe I'd be less angry.
As for Fate... I really don't like it. I saw Fate/Zero, and really had a bad time in the second part (that's mostly due to some super specific things [sp]I thought that some of the characters met their demise for wrong reasons. Whereas usually a character dies or fails because whatever the author/writer decides, I felt that in F/Z (and specifically Rider and Weaver, can't say I liked any of the other characters) the characters failed because it was a prequel to a story and they have no room there. So it's as if they didn't have a rightful end. They lost because they aren't part of the future[/sp]), but by the point I started watching Fate/Stay Night (2015) and the first two episode (and maybe more than that from what I hear) are 40 minutes of exposition dumped by the dozen. And I knew all this and didn't like/care about it. For what it's worth the world of Fate is a super simple world and kind of uninteresting to the most part. So instead of being bored out of my skull I decided to not watch more. In either case I'll probably going to pick it up again, but as god as my witness, I'm probably not going to like it.

That's entirely on you, then. Not much that can be said.

um so like let's get this down, F/Z is a prequel to F/SN that was written after F/SN, it is a predetermined plotline so of course it is going to bend to fit into the universe that already exist. Welcome to prequels written after the original works.
You watched the first two most plot heavy episodes of F/SN (which by the way, that plot is needed, because the Nasuverse is not "super simple" or "uninteresting", have you actually read any of the original VNs?) and then assumed that the rest of the show would also be "exposition", and you'd rather just see action than actually have the world built because you for some reason seem to believe it's simple and uninteresting? No goddamn shit you aren't gonna like if you're going into watching it with such a ridiculous mindset.
To be perfectly honest, I don't know what I look for in Fate. Action doesn't interest me, neither does the dialogue, and I really don't like the characters. I may not have watched much but I'm pretty familiar with Fate. This isn't some random franchise I just happen to jump on.
Vampire Holmes is AoTS so far
What is this refering to? I guess it should be obvious, but i don't get it.
What is this refering to? I guess it should be obvious, but i don't get it.
Vampire Holmes is a new heart breaking, show that started airing this season. It may be early to say, but I'd compare it to masterworks like Evangelion and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood...
Oh, there was actually something called like that. I thought it's some crafted nickname for some other show.
Didn't see it because it was down in the TV Short -section on anichart.
To be perfectly honest, I don't know what I look for in Fate. Action doesn't interest me, neither does the dialogue, and I really don't like the characters.
When you say "action doesn't interest me", are you referring to action in general (in which case I'd ask you "why would you watch an action show then?") or the action in fate (in which case I'd ask you "why?"), because I can see literally no reason for you to watch Fate if you have such a terrible mindset regarding it. You're pretty clearly saying "I will not enjoy it", which is almost definitely going to actually make sure that whenever you watch it, you won't enjoy it.
I may not have watched much but I'm pretty familiar with Fate. This isn't some random franchise I just happen to jump on.
yeaaaaaaaaah that'd make sense if you didn't call the Nasuverse "super simple" and "uninteresting", which it most definitely isn't (and anyone with any prior experience with any Nasu work, especially the VNs, regardless of their enjoyment of them should be able to tell that)
Either way from the sounds of it, 90% of your issue with Fate is your own mindset. Really not much that anyone can do there but you.
so Yuki-chan is actually bearable?
the new artstyle alienated me instantly
I think that the artstyle change is also to make it look more like the manga they based it on. Not just because the animation company doing it is different
First ep of denpa kyoushi was pretty okish. The animations and art style weren't too great and it's basically GTO except not as funny. I'll keep watching it tho.
Wait they made denpa Kyoushi into an anime when did this happen and why wasn't I told until now.
I don't know what the hell the guy is saying to say that Souma doesn't focus on the food.
The food looks delicious as heck and the foodgasms are there to show how delicious it is.
People might find that the foodgasms get too ridiculous as the show goes on but I have to at least commend the author and artist for making the foodgasms more creative rather than just sticking with people going naked.
OK, so I saw the first episode of Kekkai Sensen and well, I have some things to say..
How do I say this is in the best way? It seems interesting. You know how people like to compare Chaika to DnD? Well, I'd compare Sensen to Shadowrun, only a bit earlier in the future. It's still way ahead (there are police robots and stuff), but not as ahead technology wise. The setting is pretty simple, a gate happened and the supernatural creatures/aliens or what have you are now living with humans and coexisting in a Space Dandy way (everything is normal about this). The characters aren't too deep, but it's only the first episode and the main character seems pretty chill. (Shout out to the character voiced by Sawashiro Miyuki) As for the story... well I still don't know what it'll be about so I can't say.
Technical wise this might be the best BONES show so far. Typically BONES shows have crappy art/animation (usually it's the faces/bodies that are flawed), and it's the case here, but here's the thing: Besides some rough moments with the character outlines and faces, the art and animation are through the roof for a BONES. This one episode had better animation than all of Chaika season 1.
The music is pretty great. Smooth/upbeat jazz which fits in with the fast pace of the action and movement.
I'd say it's worth checking out.

Excuse me, Bones does NOT have crappy animation, like ever. Bones is probably in my top 3 most consistently good looking studios.

Gonna check it out after dropping Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka? around 5min into first episode.
I am sorry, i don't know why i even bothered giving it a try. A couple of minutes in and it's clear there is no salvation for this series.
EDIT:
If someone can get past the 3-6 episode rule for it without dropping, tell me if it has any chance of being worth watching after all.
But i really doubt it with the kind of setting and atmosphere first episode had.

Sure. I was giving them too much shit in a sense. I'd say the best term is "rough around the edges" and in this case the animation is pretty good.
Also if I were to rate consistently good looking I'd go [sp]In no special order: Madhouse, P.A (I say that mostly because of shirobako), and I guess KyoAni. Sometimes simplicity helps..[/sp]

madhouse is not as consistent as bones, they make good looking shows then they also make absolute shit looking shows like Chaos;head, also why did you spoiler tag that? Yeah kyoani is fairly consistent animation wise, but so is Ufotable (Ufotable looks fucking miles ahead of everybody else IMO)
Bones is not rough around the edges, of all the Bones I've seen, they are the most consistently polished looking shows, even captain earth looked amazing (too bad the story wasn't).
And Taggart, who is on a quest to watch literally every bones show, seems to agree with me.
Ufotable's animations feel a bit stiff but damn are they really good at setting up beautiful scenes with fancy smhancy filters and lighting.
So far the best animation I've seen was in Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta. The first episode of Go Princess Precure had some really good animation.
give me some good anime to watch this season or i'll eat your immortal soul

it had 10/10 sound effects though
While we're on the topic of animation I want to say that the speed lines and impact animations in Ippo are fantastic.

Kekkai Sensen. Or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

I should really watch some of the fights already. I started watching Ippo from season 2 for some reason and then I read the manga. I really want to see some fights animated... even some that aren't in the anime yet [sp]Sawamura Vs. Mashiba[/sp]
Look at all this shit taste.
I like the show just fine, but it's not too great. Animation is though.
