Did anyone of you watch Tamako Love Story? That movie was unironically fantastic
1 hr until gintama ye boi
I started Lupin III: Part 2 today. I'm a big fan of Lupin and I recently finished Par 1. Pretty good first episode. Art and animation are super rough and sub par to part 1.
Also, shoutout to the people around here with GJ-Bu avatars. Freaking love GJ-Bu.
So I watched K-On w/ trumpets. 'snot bad.
Euphonium needs a scene where they shit-talk the school's light music club.
It's easy to say that in retrospect, but it's the same thing with basically every other seasonal. "Why did we find this exciting again?"
What are you talking about?
We were shitting on Chuuni as it was airing. We were laughing openly at the announcement of S2 and at anyone that decided that they would watch it.

Kyoani's golden age ended after K-ON.
That's when they decided that every show should be to some extent like K-ON, one way or another. Moè moè moè moè.
[editline]8th April 2015[/editline]
That is not to say they haven't made good shows after K-ON, but that's when they stopped making really good ones. (they stopped adapting KEY)
damn, crunchyrolls video player is a steaming pile of shit
Not only that they license Ultraman and some Godzilla and a bunch of cool dramas I'd love to watch, but it's unavailable in my fucking region, and on top of that the video player is garbage on my garbage computer.
DAMMIT CRUNCHYROLL I WANT TO WATCH SWITCH GIRL TO SEE SHOTAROU PANTS GIRLS. WHY WON'T YOU LET IN ME.
edit:
Oh yeah, no drama is available in my country. Only ItaKiss 1 which I'm already watching on my own!
That a a p goode episode of Gintama
That a a p goode episode of Gintama
I'm thinking of watching it. I've yet to watch more than 24 episode (last I checked) and most of those episodes are IMO terrible. So seeing this is kind of a check to see if Gintama ever... well gets good.

Gintama has been constantly stated to pick up after twenty episodes, you know.

I decided to investigate and figured it was a case of me being a new poster at the time who couldn't sort the subtle jabs from the genuine praise
I'm looking through the late 2012 thread at the moment and actively vomiting blood

Do you even like anime?
Gintama has been constantly stated to pick up after twenty episodes, you know.
I know. And after 20 there was an episode that was pretty good compared to the rest of it.

Well both are terrible for separate reasons.
so we finally have a new The Jack ?
the smell of spring has come to FA

Looking at your MAL list the only thing I can piece together from your taste is that you like things that are psychological and odd.
And shades of brown.
Samflam at 10/10 and rewatching, first time I've seen anything positive about the show and it's a rewatching 10.

My taste in shows is super weird. I mostly like good shows. The way I see it, a 10 is a prime example of its genre. So let's say Hataraki Man? It's the best the working environment slice of life shows can offer/offered. Not to say it's not good/what it represents is the only good thing about it. Hataraki Man is an incredible show regardless.
I don't know about others, but I love SamFlam. I love it to death. Probably my favorite anime? I don't know...
But yeah I like weird shit.
edit:
For the record? If there was a good, faithful Oyasumi Punpun manga, Aku no Hana would stop being a 10.
My taste in shows is super weird. I mostly like good shows.
No you see that's an oxymoron

How can you know that it's the best that can be offered in a genre if you haven't seen everything in the genre?
I just rate shows on whether or not I think it could have been any better, if it didn't live up to the potential or if it just doesn't execute it in a way that appeals to me.
A 10 is "This shit is so fucking good there is hardly any flaws to be found, and they can all be safely ignored".
For the record? If there was a good, faithful Oyasumi Punpun manga, Aku no Hana would stop being a 10.
Seriously, that's a retarded way to rate.

What
Where so you people come from, it's like clockwork and it always seems to end in permabans.
How can you know that it's the best that can be offered in a genre if you haven't seen everything in the genre?

There are tons of way to score stuff and tons of factors that jump in when I score whatever. In the end I really don't like scores since it's a weird battle for each person of subjectivity and objectivity. Like one person will have scores that mean x the other y and let's say they fight over the scores... I don't like that. So I devised a method that mixes both my personal feelings and how I see the genre. In the end the "best of genre" only really applies to 10's, and even then... In the end "best of genre" is how I see my scores today, but they are all just rater normally.
I just don't like calling things "perfect" or "masterpiece" so I use the term prime instead which in turn lead me to seeing things as prime of there genres whereas I really see them as "prime in general".
I don't know... scores are stupid.
Also, I'm a big "everything is relative" guy so it all works well in my (probably) insane head.
What
Punpun is pretty fucking amazing, maaaaaan.
Ok so at least you don't do that thing with the "nothing deserves 10/10 because nothing is perfect"
Punpun is pretty fucking amazing, maaaaaan.
Might wanna read what you posted again. "If there was a good, faithful Oyasumi Punpun manga"
I assume you meant anime?
Ok so at least you don't do that thing with the "nothing deserves 10/10 because nothing is perfect"
I did it once, but then I realized how stupid it is since even if you have everything scored a 1 or 2 it changes what 1 and 2 mean into 1 is terrible and 2 is amazing. Relativity maaaaaan.
Might wanna read what you posted again. "If there was a good, faithful Oyasumi Punpun manga"

I did. OOPS.
i dont think punpun would work well as an anime
I hope they never adapt Punpun.
i dont think punpun would work well as an anime
Yeah I guess. But IF it somehow works perfectly and everything is adapted then it would be better than Aku no Hana in general and in the weird subgenere of "boy meets girl who changes his life"
