It's kind of deliberately campy and over-the-top. If you don't like that kind of style, then you probably won't enjoy Star Driver.

I wouldn't consider this a spoiler, it's 5 minutes and only 1/5 into the anime out of 110 episodes. But make that what you will.

Summary of the first episode of Pantyline, for those not willing to watch it:
It's basically an anime version of a video game crossover between Murdered: Soul Suspect, I Wanna Be The Guy, Majora's Mask, and Senran Kagura. A ghost boy is trying to get his body back, but if he sees panties twice in a row, an asteroid crashes into the Earth and he has to start over again. However, crazy things keep happening so that girls keep accidentally showing their underwear.
So many shows this season, guh.

I watched the anime and really didn't like how it ended
