Finally started watching akame ga kill after getting it recommended by someone here months ago, already from the first episode I can tell it's not the kind of anime I thought it was gonna be, and I like the OP(pai).

Watched the Hayate no Gotoku OVAs that came out last Fall, didn't notice they were out until now. So awesome to hear Announcer Wakamoto at work again, he didn't appear in the full season before the OVAs.
Usually when you make an OVA it's supposed to be fun, or cut footage, or exposes a bit of interesting lore that didn't fit into the pacing of the parent story. The Gargantia OVA does literally [I]none[/I] of that. Considering it was 99% original footage, it was boring as fuck and only raises question that were already asked during the series and doesn't even answer them. "Tell me about the colonel's society" lolno let's just get interrupted by some chicks telling Ledo how popular he is with all dem anime babes.
I mean I just wasted a fucking hour watching what was basically an SoL with forced drama on top. After subjecting me to what was essentially the anime equivalent of lukewarm porridge, they finally decide to make it interesting in the last 30 seconds so I'm being blue-balled until May.
Honestly the problem here is that it's been two years and five days since Gargantia aired so the studio and voices probably just lost touch with the series, characters, and basically anything that made it interesting in the first place.
Usually when they make an OVA it's just filled with fan service so that they can sell BD's to perverted fans
