I think I prefer the design for yahari s2 over s1. While it seems more generic at the same time hatchback looks more like the other characters, while in s1 his design was more pronounced making it seem odd, like there existed two conflicting design directions. Also in s1 some of the side profile shots were very poorly done so some of the characters look like human-dog hybrids and it's really weird when they have a german shepard looking yui talk about drama and stuff. Also they are doing more with the background characters as opposed to setting them up as the opposite personas to the main casts band of misfits, which is cool. Really looking forward to next episode.

whilst i cannot comment on the adaptation quality of grisaia no meikyuu as i have not read the visual novel, i can say that it was a lot more enjoyable than the shitshow that grisaia no kaijitsu was with its merged routes.
it had lots of [sp]kazuki[/sp] who is my favorite character, and it also ventured into some real uncomfortable stuff. i actually cared for the characters this time around.

Show is being done by a lot of the same people who made the first season, they just created a new studio. Also reason why shows are split up into 2 or more cours is just that they need time between each I would assume. Quite a few shows did it recently, F/S N and chaika for example.[/QUOTE]

2) the company in question is an LN production company, not a publisher

It was pretty interesting to see Mikagura do the all-background-characters-are-grey/white thing, except everybody's still 90% drawn, they're just not coloured in. Normally they're just budget-conserving silhouettes or low-detail.
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun spoilers: [sp]the end sounded more like nozaki rejecting sakura rather than doing the "and nothing fucking happens" route although I know that's what they meant because hey manga adaption and romance anime nothing ever happens. Although I wish they finally got together[/sp]
