tbh i preferred initial d when the animation was incredibly 90s
While I prefer the artstyle and general feel of earlier Initial D seasons, I loved the CG quality of newer ones.
Well what do you know, Try's finale was actually good. Now if only I gave a shit about any of the characters. The budget was so pitiful they had to have a zero-budget half-stock-footage filler episode before it.
Finally catching up on Yuri Kuma but i'm only at like, episode 6. Am i the only one who didn't feel that it was particularly compelling? [editline]26th March 2015[/editline] Not bad, just not compelling. Also nintendo-guy i swear to god you're the most active rater in fast anime.
I've been reading quite a lot of manga recently after someone here mentioned the Manga Rock app for phones, think it was Kidd. I never liked reading manga on my computer much for whatever reason so this app was perfect. Just finished 20th century boys and 21st century boys, so fucking good. Highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys mystery/thrillers. Naoki Urasawa is a genius. Just started on Pluto now and i'm planning to read Billy Bat and Monster too (even tho I already watched the anime).
was probs me and yeah i used to read mango a decent amount with the app iirc it had had ads on the bottom of the page when you were trying to read so i think that was annoying though
I got the paid version which I guess got rid of the ads.
o rite i didn't pay because im a cheapskate also google play doesnt support paypal
imagine not having adblock
imagine not having adblock
This is an app
This is an app
No, there's one for Android, I use it to block the ads on my manga-reading app.
You can still patch it to remove google ads but it's nicer to support the developers of the app
I'd pay for mine but it's been removed from the store so it's fair game now I guess
Kancolle getting a second season lol http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-03-25/kancolle-television-anime-gets-sequel/.86362
I just went to my local Japanese import shop and had onigiri, Pocari Sweat, and various foreign candies for lunch. Why the fuck don't we have strawberry KitKat in North America?

Parasyte's final episode 10/10, over all an easy 8.75/10.
Did Parasyte seriously include [sp]Slenderman clones[/sp] in their final episode? I mean, I guess it makes sense given that [sp]it's taking place in the internet age[/sp], but still, that was kinda surreal.
If it did I totally missed them, where did you see them?
Opening sequence, [sp]when he's searching the internet for parasites. There was a picture with 3 tall things in suits with white, faceless heads. They also had salamander gills and giant circular mouths, but to me it seems pretty clear that they're an homage to Slenderman, or at least some "tall paranormal men in suits" myth.[/sp]
Tsukimonogatari Blu-ray finally out. Time to watch it

Well, since I've given the parasyte manga a 10, and the adaption was basically perfect, my rating is clear. 10/10 adaption, did everything an adaption should do, great job by madhouse.

The show should be judged as a show, not as a manga. To put it this way: if it went anime original story and it was way fucking better than the manga, would you downrate the manga? Would you downrate the show for not doing a perfect adaption despite liking it more? Seems like a very unnecessary thing to mention when stating your like/dislike for something.
I'm pretty sure me and Rahkshi share the sentiment that it's 10/10 because it's both a brilliant adaptation and brilliant in it's own right, especially with the changes it made. Not sure what you're trying to say in the second part? If an adaptation was better than the manga and faithful, or better but not faithful, I wouldn't downrate the manga unless it was pretty obvious that I overrated it in the first place.

I don't know where you got the idea I enjoyed it less from a post that literally called it perfect. let me explain my original post to you. "I liked this manga, this adaption of the manga is equally as good as the manga, therefor my rating is the same due to them both separately being 10/10 in my mind." was my rating of the anime effected by my enjoyment of the manga? absolutely, I'm biased as fuck. but my bias didn't make me overrate a bad anime, it made me have more fun watching it then I might have otherwise, thus my enjoyment of the anime is probably HIGHER then that of the manga.
Perhaps not anime but am I the only one here playing DFO Global now that it just came out? I didn't see a thread for it in GGD.
Literally forgot Mouretsu Pirates movie was a thing. It's been since November since BD came out and Whynot still working on it after all this time. :v:
Yatterman Nights 10: I halfway expected something like that to happen. [sp]I just wasn't sure whether they were going to go for that twist of "It was (old) Doronbow the whole time! You're really the descendents of Yatterman!" or for keeping the message of "Descendents don't always act like their ancestors". Turns out I didn't see the third, best option of doing both by only doing the main part of the twist. I wasn't expecting Doronbow to treat their own descendents like shit, but I never watched the original show, so yeah.[/sp]
