I liked Tales of Symphonia opening, sadly most Tales games are pretty much copypaste of eachother. But Tales of the Abyss is still one of my favorite childhood games. I had multitap for ps2 and managed to play it with 4 people, which was awesome at the time. [editline]4th May 2015[/editline] Tales of Abyss was interesting case btw. English version of the game had instrumental opening instead of dubbed or japanese.
Punchline is probably going to end up being the most tightly written mess this year if the writer's credentials add up.
Does watching Punchline bring you pleasure? Does it bring you pain? Why are you on the fence? So many questions.
I just like to know what others think of shows. Just that.
Why has nobody told me an opening this good looking existed This is some good shit,I need it injected in me
I was thinking it was impossible to beat Vesperia's OP. I was wrong. AND they finally brought Go Shiina back for a main Tales game. fucking hyped

I imagine the two or three Tales tv adaptions have fuck-all budget.

while it's not 2d animation I still think Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles has one of my favorite game openings, especially the english version

[t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/50/GameCube-Game-Boy-Player.jpg[/t] I didn't own this hunk of plastic so I could never play the multiplayer as it was intended to be played. you built a game mechanic in to keep all players on screen at once why can't i just use a normal fucking controller why did you have to try to sell your shitty gimmick add-on for this game in particular [editline]5th May 2015[/editline] The DS games were fun too. I don't think anybody played the Wii game.

Hey guys, so I'm planning to watch a show that a friend recommended to me called Clannad. But I found out that there's also a VN, that the show was based on I think, and I don't know which one to go for. I'd appreciate some replies but agree for anime and disagree for VN would help out too!
It will take you less than twenty hours to complete the anime and over fifty to read the visual novel. :)

It's the same story though isn't it? I'm not sure how interested I'm going to be in the second choice after finishing the first And I don't have a time limit so I'm gonna go with the one that I think I will enjoy the most :)

Even better, Rahkshi.

Apart from the VN having route choices, the anime will also streamline at least some of it's chosen route to adapt due to episode constraints. Each has it's own way of telling the same story.

Also I looked at some from the VN just now too, and they were like exaggerated versions of the anime art haha, I'll survive though I take it the VN's the way to go? I'm already familiar with VNs, so that's no problem. I wont expect fate zero levels of artwork but if the story's good Im content

I'm not gonna wait that long, I've already begun on the VN ^^ And I knew the art was bad, but seriously

who drew this and thought: "Yeah, this looks good."
Beautiful imho

This discussion makes me wonder how the Steam edition of Clannad will look like. If I recall correctly, they did promise ~HD assets~.

I think you should watch the anime first.

PS2 sprites HD edition or bust forever.
The anime is a masterpiece, and so is the VN. I was under the impression that this was a romance (and im sure we'll get there) but right now I'm enjoying it more than any sitcom or comedy I've ever seen
Visual Novels usually have a long "common" route where the characters are introduced and you get to know them, which usually has a lot of comedy and borderline slice-of-life, before it goes into "character" routes where your choices will put you onto a characters route where the story will start to revolve around them.
