If you never watch anime at all then every anime you've seen is 10/10.
God damn it Mikagura.
Ep 3: Will someone PLEASE explain why [sp]her hand went straight through Seisa's crystal?[/sp]
Anyone?
No one's going to explain?
Really?
You're all just going to ignore that for now?
I didn't realize that "Endless Eight" was the actual name of that arc, I thought it was just a nickname. Either way, I just started it.

don't do it, just watch the first and last, everything else is pointless.
kyon kun denwa~
Eleven hours until we finally get a Digimon PV, at which point I imagine Toei jumps up from behind the bushes and yells "surprise, it never really existed at all! we really had you going there for a while didn't we".

I disagree, watch the second episode in addition to the first and last so you get a greater feel for the sheer scale of the loops. None of the Endless Eight is pointless, (Disappearance spoilers) [sp]it sets up Yuki's character motivation for developing emotions and growing frustrated with her role as a janitor for Haruhi,[/sp] however you don't need to watch all of it to get the point.

I can't get over how they fucking stretched ONE CHAPTER of the light novel into 8 episodes, and still have people defending this as a good idea.

why are you trying to make sense of it

They're busy with Dragonball Super and Sailor Moon Crystal 2

It represents the time loop mann
They're busy with Dragonball Super and Sailor Moon Crystal 2
They're inspiring to be like Sunrise and take on 3 shows at once.

At they'd be faithful to the franchise if there's exactly four frames of animation per episode in the new Digimon series.
arslan senki ep5 [sp]I would've expected there to be a language barrier between the whatevertheywere called soldiers and the Pars slaves. But whatever. Anime.[/sp]
I really wish Euphonium wouldn't have these really detailed backgrounds and then blur the shit out of anything that isn't in the foreground.

trying to hide the fact they got lazy and just used a photo as the background instead of tracing over it
trying to hide the fact they got lazy and just used a photo as the background instead of tracing over it
It's obviously all a painting, the reason for blurring might be because it lets the painter just block out the colors without having to go all the way with rendering, which saves a lot of time
And it looks really nice too
I thought the song they played in ep5 of euphonium sounded familiar. Well no wonder:

(Maybe spoilers for ep5, but like it matters in anime like this)

I expected anything but 80's Japanese electronic music.

I've always wondered what takes rendering so long.
Dev on twitter said this background took 12 hours to render or something insane like that

Thats some quality dialogue right there.
Yeah I dunno why they tried making a dating sim (which has almost bankrupted them)
They should have just continued that addictive hexgrid tactical RPG which you play for the fun and not for the plot
is that game made by a western company?
maybe they tried to copy huniepop
Bahamut is getting a season 2. That's fun I guess.

I wonder what they'll do for the plot now. I know Bahamut is in the name but I'll be happy if they don't rehash plot elements.
I hope they don't cop out and [sp]undo the death of the finale.[/sp]
cool and all but I think it wrapped up pretty well

I'm not talking about CG rendering, I'm talking about the rendering stage of painting by hand, which is when you define materials and shading and reflections and all of that
basically the polishing stage of painting, which you don't have to do if you blur it out. Then you just need the rough colours

Bad computers.
Inefficient render settings.

It's obviously a photo, at best a blend of tracing and filters.
What's the general consensus here for Utawarerumono?
It was the second anime I ever watched, and it's one of my favorites
It's obviously a photo, at best a blend of tracing and filters.
Have you ever seen those side-by-side references oh shots from kyoani animes and the real life locations? They're always heavily photo referenced but fully painted from scratch. A bit of CG as well.
