Is Berserk any good?
Is Berserk any good?
yes
Finished Parasyte. Pretty good.
Is Berserk any good?
Short answer, yes. Long answer, yes. Longer answer, it should have been in the OP headliners instead of Chaika but you're all filthy plebeian seasonal casuals.
Is Berserk any good?
yeah but read the manga if you want to get into the real Berserk story The anime only covers the first big arc
To be more specific the anime doesn't cover the actual first part of Guts' Bizarre Adventure, it covers the Golden Age arc which takes place before things got grimdark. It's good for what it is but you aren't getting the full story so you can watch it if you plan to read the manga afterwards. The first episode does cover the first little bit of the start of the Berserk manga to give you context for the post-Golden Age world though.
Nanatsu no Taizai ep23 [sp]I can't believe I actually shed tears at fucking Hawk of all characters dying. He was my favorite character too.[/sp]
Kancolle Episode 12 [sp]I have to tell you, the story is not that good (imho) as well as the ending. I mean come one, its one of those cliche moments where your main hero/heroine would save the day. Aside from that, this series isn't for people who like gripping story, but I do enjoy some of it since I like this kinda WW2-ish themed[/sp] You can disagree with me at any time.
I disagreed with you cuz you said i could but i haven't watched the episode or seen your spoilers.
I disagreed with you cuz you said i could but i haven't watched the episode or seen your spoilers.
Fair enough
Man i just realized that the sound design in Kantai collection fucking sucks. [editline]26th March 2015[/editline] What an unsatisfying series.
Finished Parasyte. [sp]I felt like it lost momentum in the middle with the Kana stuff and it never truly recovered. The series peaked a bit with Reiko and the Gotou stuff could have been great but they fumbled it. Everyone spoke too much in the last third. The first half was a solid 9 for me but the last half brings it down to a low 8.[/sp]
So apparently the last ep of Shirobako was meant to be delayed or something but now the director tweeted that it will air normally but that there will be some quality issues as far as animations go, the fucking irony lol. http://yaraon.blog109.fc2.com/blog-entry-30957.html
one and a half weeks until gintama and i bet the very first scene will be a still image of the front of odd jobs

[sp]There was no way they were going to go full history and sink 4 of them at Midway, then pull back and lose. Even if they're going to do a second season, you knew full well they weren't going for a tragic ending, especially with all that talk about "fate" driving them to do certain things.[/sp]
one and a half weeks until gintama and i bet the very first scene will be a still image of the front of odd jobs
MS paint opening please, followed by a reuse of the standard opening around the table where they just re voice over.
MS paint opening please, followed by a reuse of the standard opening around the table where they just re voice over.
they should just go back to 4:3
I started watching Gaiking Legend of Daiku-Maryu
Well, Akatsuki no Yona was a whole bunch of shounen. I hate how in shows like these every character is basically the same character in the end. They have different quirks and different specialities, but socially they react and act in pretty much the exact same fucking way. (and when they don't, they're a fucking mute with a mascot) The show could have been pretty alright if it didn't smear on the shounen and repeating itself over and over again, constantly bringing up the same things almost every episode and keeping everything basically the same from start to finish. 5/10 Parasyte was pretty good, but after Tamura I felt they started having too many people in the story at the same time, it lost focus, and the whole "what is human" thing went from being an interesting aspect that gradually evolved with the character into a in-your-face philosophical lesson about humanity to the viewers. It got pretty ridiculous at the end when he just couldn't stop thinking about it at all times and the junkyard toxin scene just really took off. Gotou's arc was just way too long as well [sp]and then it just all ended and everyone was happy and parasytes adapted to humanity and everyone wins[/sp]. It was a good show though, absolutely, it should have just kept itself as tight throughout the whole show, you can really see the "I'm not sure where I really want to go with this" at the end when Shinichi stops developing as a character and he just throws in a [sp]invincible super strong unstoppable parasyte! HOW EVER CAN OUR HERO WIN?![/sp] and the whole [sp]Death of migi only to have him back and then the loss of his girlfriend only to have Migi awaken to save her. It's just so generic and standard[/sp]. The dupsteb was also put into some really odd scenes. 8/10
Apparently Yona changed from Shoujo to Shounen while I wasn't looking.
Apparently Yona changed from Shoujo to Shounen while I wasn't looking.
It may be shoujo, but if it isn't about girls with giant fucking eyes and their relationship with guys then it doesn't pass in my dictionary. Just having pretty guys isn't enough.
It may be shoujo, but if it isn't about girls with giant fucking eyes and their relationship with guys then it doesn't pass in my dictionary. Just having pretty guys isn't enough.
considering shoujo is a demographic and not a genre, you just said that girls are only allowed to like romance anime.
So, just finished Tokyo Ghoul. Weird ending I have to wait, as I do not read Manga, I wonder what's the huge commotion about it? I understood its much more rushed and already cough up to the manga or something?

well and that's Tokyo Ghoul over with, or is it? oh my fucking god please don't fucking tell me that they're going to ruin :re as well I swear to fucking god Pierrot Anyway, that was a nice demonstration of how to take a 10/10 manga and absolutely demolish it into a 3/10-at-best I will never, ever watch a Studio Pierrot show again
I just noticed that Shirobako's rating has noticeably increased recently. I think it was about 7.8 last week, while now it's at 8.03.
considering shoujo is a demographic and not a genre, you just said that girls are only allowed to like romance anime.
No, I said that I don't consider it to be a shoujo if it isn't about romance. I also mentioned my dictionary, where I'm using it as a genre. What it's targeted at and what they can like are two completely different things. I also don't know where "only" came from.
sounds like u should get a beter dictionary then
Man aside from Gintama and Lupin, not too many anime to watch while drinking this Spring. But since there aren't many this spring anyone know some good ones from past seasons?
