when was last time we did op vote
Last year wasn't it?
Last year wasn't it?
I think it was around Summer/Fall
was it?
feels like ages
It was near the end of last year, because I remember a bunch of fighting about NGNL being voted into competitive a little while after it was finished.

Barakamon finished is in the op and it finished airing in september so ye.
Finished Shinsekai Yori. Overall I'm gonna say 10/10.
[sp]That was great a story with great world building. Things get revealed as characters grow. You figure out the fragility of the relative peace that exists after the old world and slave empires fell.
Until the end I didn't expect Queerats to be humans, even with that foreshadowing of DNA being manipulated with Cantus.
And Squealers sentence was really morbid power-tripping, though he deserved it. Reminded of Akira.[/sp]
Now there's that usual emptyness feeling too

That's because it isn't even competitive, the games have no rules and are made up as they go along and Blank always wins.
At least we learned that Ping Pong is the best sportsdrama of 2014.
I guess we'll wind up for another OP in five or six months.
anyone know when the jitsu wa watashi wa adaptation is supposed to air?
I started reading the manga a while ago and I'm really liking it so far

new jojo ep spoilers [sp]vanilla ice should of been called another one bites the dust, considering how easy he kills avdol[/sp]
New JoJo was good, D'arby moments were funny and the new stand had it's intense moments.
I do keep disliking all these "standing there being shocked doing nothing for a minute" moments though, which is sort of a trademark of the show, with Iggy Pop and Polnareff in this episode.
Also [sp]D'Arby not figuring out that Old-jojo's stand is stuck to the controller despite being so extremely easy to see is retarded. JoJo has such conveniently lazy excuses for the power of stands and the weakness of the enemies at times.[/sp]
I was expecting JoJo to [sp]only tell part of the truth, not actually cheating, but just giving a piece of the information. Yes, he would throw his pitch just as he stated, but it would also be screwed at the end. It's not lying when you just leave out parts of the information.[/sp], but no, those clever workarounds on the limitations of stands don't fly.

[sp]The layout of the table makes it difficult to see everyone's controllers without going over to their station to look. Not only was D'arby already flustered, he was convinced it had something to do with the hat. He is already used to relying on his Stand to read peoples souls and he even says it himself that the "trick' they pulled is incredibly stupid yet he fell for it.[/sp]
that was a great episode of jojo

i doubt people have the ability to [sp]control what their soul says, even a little bit[/sp]
i doubt people have the ability to [sp]control what their soul says, even a little bit[/sp]
It's not [sp]controlling your soul, his soul[/sp] would say yes because "yes, I am going to throw a *** in ***", but that's not all of it. The statement is true, but it doesn't contain all of the details. He's not, not going to throw the ball there.
I do guess that's what D'arby was looking for when [sp]he was checking if the soul kept saying it[/sp] until the end, but I'm not so sure it would really work that way. But even then, wouldn't it be too late for him to react either way?

fair enough, but then again would it really count as a straight if it had a curve at the end? would Jotaro's [sp]soul say YES! or NO! if it included a screw?[/sp] not only that, but is it even possible for Jotaro to make a ball curve if he throws a straight?

Depends on the game mechanics. Given that D'arby could screw it only at the very fucking end, much like OldJo when [sp]cheating the game[/sp] it would probably be possible to change it at the end. [sp]Just the fact that it could be cheated with through the controller, not the console, is proof that it can be changed mid-direction, meaning it was always a straight shot, until he decided to change the shot itself. The shot was a straight shot... with a screw at the end.[/sp]
How could you guys forget the best Matsumoto OP
