UBW S1 had perfect pacing, why the FUCK does s2 have weird disjointed pacing like they've cut half the content out without regard for scene timing.
I'm just waiting for it..

I want to see this.

J-Drama: I've been watching Crazy For Me on CR. Damn this is good. These different personalities all with issues living the same house. Good drama-comedy. (Dramedy as the kids say).
hows the world trigger anime? anyone actually watching it and is it worth picking up ?
Haven't heard anyone say anything good about it.
I need more anime musicals. Think more Singing in the rain rather than 8 Mile. Fuck it. I want more of both.

I heard good things about the manga, but the anime is by Toei and the episode I saw was kind of crap.
hows the world trigger anime? anyone actually watching it and is it worth picking up ?
I saw the first episode, had a resounding "whatever" and never got around to watching any more of it.
a potential spoiler/prediction for how plastic memories will finish: [sp]he keeps isla's diary, gets her "reformatted" when her time is up, uses the diary to refresh her memory and everything is hunky dory[/sp]
can see it happening, speculation is fun

It's pretty terrible.

I'm getting a PTSD triggers from that spoiler because of [sp]bullshit that happened in Isshuukan friends[/sp].
hows the world trigger anime? anyone actually watching it and is it worth picking up ?
I dropped it at ep24 or so. I heard that was the part where it was actually getting good in the manga, but it was beginning to feel like a chore watching it so I dropped it. Ditto with Sailor Moon.

It was actually somewhat decent, surprisingly. I liked to pretend it was vying for ridiculously slow pacing with Akatsuki and G-Reco sometimes.

It's not strictly anime, but you should check out Sound Horizon
Their works could probably primarily be considered audio musicals if anything, but it is not entirely un-anime in terms of style, I think. Long suites with overarching stories and a very literal style of storytelling with plenty of dialogue and sound effects, certainly more than just music with a story.

They also do occasional live performances, which are actually of really impressive production quality (Especially the more recent ones)

Have any of you all read Qualia the Purple/Murasakiiro no Qualia?
It's a short (18 chapter) manga about a girl who perceives everyone else to be robots, but it has quite a lot more to it than just that. The author has one of the best understandings of quantum physics I've seen from any work in any medium and manages to use it in such a way that it dramatically enhances the poignancy of the story.
Yes, I followed it from start till end. It's pretty boss.
I noticed that almost nobody here watched Tsumiki no ie, it's 12 minutes long. It's even on youtube, no excuse not to.

It's been on my plan to watch list for a while. Didn't know it was on youtube.
It was nice but too... generic, at the lack of a better word. Seen these artistic small stories a thousand times before, it's too romantic and rosey for me (yes, I know, it's a melancholic story about time and life that has passed by).
I think UP did a better job of presenting pretty much the same story in that small segment of the movie.

really funny when it went off the rails, the earlier talks about quantum physics didn't seem out of place anymore
onoderas sister (im guessing, in the op) is a qt

I remember that it won an Oscar.
Finished Akame ga Kill after putting it in the back burner three quarters of the way through. It's pretty generic but fun. Tons of characters with good variety although a lot of the personalities are not original (not too much of a deal as long they do it right).
I hate the fact they must feel they have to kill a character (mainly evil duds) in every episode like there's a quota.
[sp]
I didn't like the ending too much. I knew where it was going but I was hoping it would pull the carpet and say "you expect us to kill everyone? Ha, the manga isn't even finished yet!" and save enough characters for S2.
I doubt people would agree with me but I don't like the idea of putting a death mark on all the characters and then go through with it in the end. I find it to be the most boring way to go about things.
But then again, I never liked strict endings in general would prefer something more open-ended.[/sp]
Just curious where (story event-wise, not chapter number) does the manga and anime split?
[editline]11th May 2015[/editline]
Was going to finish the rest of Chaika S2 but Crunchyroll just underwent maintenance
So I read Molester-Man. That was really fucking good, I love how they had entire chapters just dedicated to the Kansai and Molester-Man chatting these flowing and organic conversations, something missing from most romance manga/anime I find. Great fucking read, anyone know of anything similar? The dialogue is just mmmm so good.

Onani Master Kurosawa is a similarly "romance"-like manga by the very same author which despite the odd premise (though having read Molester Man this should hardly phase you), tells a legitimately fantastic story of personal maturation.
I can't believe you guys are talking about Onani Master Kurosawa and Molester Man just as I have finished re-reading the former and about to start the latter.
This is fate telling me to go marathon the shit out of Molester Man

I've been avoiding that for years, but I've been seeing in circles people compare it to Molester Man so I feel it's time. Thanks for the reassurance.
You know I wasn't really expecting Kekkai Sensen to tackle [sp]explicit racism issues[/sp] within the span of the show :v: (ep6 spoilers)
Grisaia no Rakuen is actually really good so far. They've finished with all the flashbacks and important story shit, the conclusion of which was actually pretty depressing, and they're starting with the real intense shit now.
I'm hoping they continue the trend of not turning this into shit like they did with Kajitsu, and it's looking like they will, but I'm remaining cautiously optimistic.
Also Yuuji continues to be pretty hilarious throughout

tokyo ghoul:re is getting good at a steady pace
Finished reading Molester Man.
Really good read.
I'm impressed at how well the art style influences how you feel while reading, the same effect happened with Onani Master Kurosawa.
I really miss that feeling of having to hold your breath wanting to know what's going to happen next, you don't get it that much after you've seen most of the universally recommended stuff that you get when you first got into anime and manga.

I feel like it's be unnecessarily dragging along a plotline about characters nobody cares about the entire time.

[sp]this current auction arc is pretty hype though and the Qs definitely aren't focused on enough for them to be annoying[/sp]
