Is it wrong that I've finished watching 8 anime in the last 3 weeks?
I've never felt this good, though. I forgot what a bless exam periods always are. Loads and loads of time

That depends entirely on how long the shows were and if any of them were School Days

Too bad the retards translating it can't get a proper release pace going.
God I hate scanlators. Subhuman scum.
Shouldn't you be thankful that they're doing it at all ?

except to suzukis
fuk scanlators, esp the ones that quit partway through
I don't understand why everyone loves nisekoi, I forced myself to watch the entire first season thinking it would get really interesting but nah.
I don't understand why it gets so much praise
Everyone doesn't love it tho.

what
everyone hates it so much, hating it basically became a meme
idont think anyone actualy lovs nisekoi
I've googled about it a few times, usually there's someone calling it out for being shit and then they get buried under "Oh.. its just a fun show with fun ships!"
Like good lord there are actual people who like the show
Switching gears here, are there any 'happy' shows I can watch? I've been out of the anime scene for a number of years, so anything that could cheer me up would be nice
i very much enjoyed the first season, haven't started watching the second season yet

..uh, you know what, I can't really think of any "happy" shows other than comedy ones. Like Joshiraku, Plastic Nee-San, Nichijou, Nichibros, D-Frag, and Tonari no Seki-kun.

you seem to be forgetting that the average weeaboo has absolutely terrible taste
nisekoi is perfect for them, so they can have it
fuk scanlators, esp the ones that quit partway through
indeed
still waiting new chapters for hallelujah overdrive
fuk scanlators, esp the ones that quit partway through
I still want to know what happened to Ronin Ixiorian
I mean, I don't think he intentionally quit, but for six months we were left with no Birdy II and now the new guy who's taking over (a good thing) has absolutely horrific typesetting and cleanup skills (not a good thing)

drop it after episode 1
also wow is Hibike [sp]really going the yuri route or something? These Kumiko-Kousaka interactions have been pretty suspicious[/sp]
So I stumbled upon Ergo Proxy. Damn this is an old anime.
I'm on episode 8 but why is (not plot details)[sp]plot so slow and vague, does stuff actually start to happen like in Steins;Gate after all introductions? Because so far it was chasing everywhere, foreshadowing and pseudo-intelectual talks[/sp]
(plot details)[sp]I mean,
Lil Meyer is the daughter of sybil system incarnate - she's not like other people. Further supported by healing factor
Vincent Law is not like your usual immigrant - probably an autorave/multiple personalities/immortal human from mosque
proxies are god-like entities, but somehow we managed to drug one to sleep, but then it somewhy escaped and went to e-virus some robots
Also did Vincent Law pulped that one proxy where Lil found and showed it to Daedalus?[/sp]
Some animes are better at pretending to be deep then actually being deep.
This is one of them.

yeah see here's the thing
Ergo Proxy isn't deep, and it isn't trying to be deep. It's a psychological mystery, so naturally it's going to be quite vague and often times seemingly non-sensical or completely off kilter.
Vague =/= pretending to be deep (something which you can't really do anyway)

Fair enough.
I dunno its plausible to pretend to be deep.
Simply throw a bunch of complicated words around have characters stare at each other with varying facial emotions and then tell people that they just don't "understand" the complexity.
However if its faked/not intended (fans making more of something then it is) usually its possible to tell one way or another.
In ergo proxies IMO the problem is more that it seems to be going somewhere. But then it doesn't really do anything interesting in the end.
Anyway I might not reply too any further comments because my hands are still injured and typing isn't something I should do lots of.
I regret watching most of the good animes as I have a hard time finding good ones now that there is almost nothing I can do but watch shows all day long.
Anyway I downloaded technolyze but I am hesitant to watch it. If I yawned during Ergo Proxy is this still a good show to watch for me?

I haven't watched Ergo but Texhnolyze is super slow for awhile (the main character doesn't even hold a proper conversation until like 10 episodes in and the first episode has like 2 lines of dialogue) and gets extremely symbolic at the end. I'm really not too sure about some of the stuff that happened but there were parts that blew my mind. It's not something I'd recommend to everyone but I still liked it.
