It irritates me more than it should to see people's Twitter accounts they just use to make self-affirming tweets about their political views. Even when I agree with the point entirely I feel a bit repulsed by a pervasive tone of self-importance. You can scroll down forever and see more mini political speeches with no retweets or favourites, but they just keep going.

The problem I have is that people think that stuff like Family Guy is racist when it does that, I disagree, it's Family Guy making light of and criticizing that kind of racism. South Park does similar things, like with Token to take the piss of the 90s trope where every group had a token black guy.

Both go plain stupid sometimes, but there are times when stuff this like happens and it may be ham fisted, but it's obviously against not for racism.

I think South Park does it better imo. There's something about how Family Guy does it's humor really rubs me the wrong way. I remember cringing at that overly long cutaway gag where Peter "tries" to save a beached whale with a forklift. I think it went on for [I]two minutes.[/I] I actually hate it more that Family Guy gets a free pass for not "overstaying it's welcome" while only The Simpsons gets the flak. Sure The Simspons is older, but Family Guy's been running since 1999.

Completely agree, Family Guy does it far worse it's just a far more immature show. It also suffers from being far less topical.
