You can literally just copy paste this, and the only differences you need to make is what color their bodies are, followed by a couple pixels to indicate what kind of outfit is, and then just make their head skin colored before going oh, this guy should have a beard, or oh, this guy should have floopy hair

Speaking of pixel art, I hate it when people call all pixel art "8-bit"

Go on some generic gaming subreddit and chances are you'll find someone who says "look at this buotifyl 8-bit art" and immediately proceeds to show something that has too many colors to be 8-bit.

I think it really depends if the person wants that style for their game because they think it fits, or if they're just doing it because ~retro~. In the case of Gods Will Be Watching I think it works.

I'm just getting tired of pixel art that is so low res and then shown at such a large size it just ends up being gross low effort box art. Then it usually gets fucked up with loads of effects and other colours on top. Give me large 1:1 pixel art any day.

I have definitely seen a lot of pixel art with characters like that though. It's easy to ape other peoples style and a lot of pixel art in games recently just isn't even good anyway.
