Having a hard time finding certain types of paper for cheap here. For example: Tomoe River paper retails for about $14.50 online in the US for 100 sheets on average, there's even a seller that sells them 500 sheets at a time (however, these are in original size, slightly larger than A4 iirc) for around $38 + shipping.

Topside of North America, you can only find the paper on one website, and they split it to 50 sheets for $12.50 + shipping, and they're east coast to boot so shipping takes a while. I don't understand the pretty much 2x price hike for the paper, I'm pretty sure it has something to do with import taxes or currency or some other dumb shit but this is pretty annoying, at least to me.

It's just the idea of ownership. Far, far too many parents, particularly in privileged backgrounds, see their kids and everything they own as trophies, something to brag about on the golf course or whatever. I see it a lot where I live, people taking their precious little kids to a private school so they can make their parents look good. It sickens me to my absolute core and it's that kind of thinking that leads to this narcissistic, insidious belief that the parents have the exclusive right to their kids' lives and everything they own.

I see that and that sucks too, with my parents it's not that, it's the belief that as kids (I'm 17) we're very entitled people because our parents support us. Not owning stuff to them sort of attributes to this attitude that states that because we're entirely supported we have less rights. E.g "you have no internet privacy and we have the right to cut it off at any time for any reason because you don't pay for it" is a quote from my stepdad (can't be sure if it's entirely word for word ofc). I get the mentality, I can see their argument but it's a terrible and dangerous mentality and makes them complete villains in the eyes of people like me.

I am in that sort of area by the way, the privileged backgrounds area, but not private schools and gold clubs far.
