Yo, fuck 4chan, fuck tumblr, listen, when it comes to the public cesspool of the internet, that goes to fucking Reddit hands down so much horrid shit goes down there with almost nothing done about it
did you read that thread on askreddit about why people hate certain people too? also the fact that /r/fatpeoplehate make regular appearances in /r/all really bothers me.
Tbh I think Reddit, tumblr, and 4Chan are all equally awful shitholes in their own way.
Tbh I think Reddit, tumblr, and 4Chan are all equally awful shitholes in their own way.
basically fuck the internet
Yo, fuck 4chan, fuck tumblr, listen, when it comes to the public cesspool of the internet, that goes to fucking Reddit hands down so much horrid shit goes down there with almost nothing done about it
The worst thing about Reddit, IMO, is not the horrible shit some people use it for (that stuff's avoidable), but the caustic "one up" culture that spreads all throughout the website. A few years ago I saw someone admit that they were raped as a young child, and just under it were two posts, each with more upvotes than the last, that were basically the equivalent of saying "YEAH, I WAS RAPED *TWICE*" and "YEAH WELL I WAS RAPED BY HITLER, BEAT THAT!". It's what convinced me to leave that open sewer.

This is coming from a 4chan user but 4chan is so much worse. Toxicity via idiocy, Reddit. Toxicity via knowing AND idiocy, 4chan.

I know avid redditors who are convinced that Reddit is the light of good on the internet and that 4chan is the worst thing possible.
Found out that apparently my GPA for my senior year is a 2.8, well then as long as I graduate at this point, then I'm cool.

And the worst part is that some people I know seems to stop talking if you don't do that. God it's annoying.
I come on this forum during work as we're allowed some free internet time as long as we're doing work or just to unwind a little. But its really annoying because i work so hard most of the time and then when i decide to have a quick 10 seconds on this forum, my superior ends up looking at my screen.... EVERY TIME. He must think that im only ever on this forum for my job just because how unlucky the timing is.
My roommate. So my sister and a roommate moved in together almost 2 weeks ago, and he is already fucking us about with the rent. He lent his mum his rent money, didnt get all that back, and fucked us around for the last bit of rent for a week. When we did grocery shopping, we bought all the basic things, then underlined everything that we are going to split the money on. I gave him the receipt, asked him if it was ok, he said it was fine. He then later complained to my sister about 'paying for food that he doesn't eat'. Bitch you said it was fine. Later he then started complaining about all the 'negative vibes' he is getting from me because I have been pestering him for the rent, and about how he is planning to find a different place to live because of it. Good riddence is all I say, if you can't even handle the first 2 weeks of rent, or communicate about anything, I couldn't care less about you leaving. I have no time for freeloaders. We already got another person lined up to take your place.
He sounds like uneeded stress. kcik him out.
He has already decided to leave due to 'negative vibes', aka he actually has to pay shit. I'm not stopping him.
I'm losing patience more and more as time goes by in my fucking job Getting pissed off more easily and more often because shit breaks, shit doesn't work or colleagues piss me off because they are dicks And yet it's either that or no job since there's nothing here. I'd have to move somewhere far to have the slightest hope of finding a job that doesn't suck so much I'm about to rage so hard...

How does someone be so bad at managing money that they can't pay shared rent, or how pathetic do they have to be to think free-loading is okay. I only pack shelves for a job and I rent by myself, but if I lost both my job and study allowance today I'd have enough saved up to cover me for at least eight weeks.
My friends and I have set up a small multimedia business; we do videography, photography, website building, etc etc, and the whole point of it is to A) get experience, considering this is the field of study we go to school for, B) make contacts who can get us work and C) make some money. We plan on carrying this into our professional lives because of the nature of the broadcasting and film industry (that is, you work when your bosses tell you, which in film is usually the latter half of any given year and for broadcasting it's whenever they feel particularly fond of you). What I've realized, however, is that in an effort to cut down on prices to make ourselves more competitive as bunch of startup nobodies, is we've cut into our profit margins so much that we're basically making none. For example, we have a gig coming up this Sunday. Our minimum charge is $113; $100 plus tax. Our client is pretty cheap/good at haggling, so that's where our price is staying. For this project there is myself as an audio technician and two camera operators, and the company itself takes 10% for the budget for expenses. Reasonable enough, except travel costs are not covered, so by the end of it, myself and cam op 1 are making a grand total of...$3. So I bring this up and the response is a resounding "WE'RE NOT DOING IT FOR THE MONEY, WE'RE DOING IT FOR THE EXPERIENCE". Which would be a perfectly logical and reasonable answer, if the guy hadn't a raging hard on for calling every situation where I bring up a problem that could be detrimental to our function as a company "Jamesing", which means every single time something comes up and I have a problem with it everyone just goes "oh there goes James, Jamesing again" and collectively agrees that the easy way to do it is the right way to do it. Case in point, when we started the whole shebang we were talking about how we should set up our hierarchy. We had two options, a "universal partnership", which meant the original 6 members of the crew would all be "in charge" and legally have an equal say in everything. The other option was to have the two original-original members (as in, the two people who's idea it was to start a company in the first place) would be partners, and everyone else technically be employees, even though we still all got a more or less equal say in decisions at meetings. My suggestion was to have the six of us be equals, because then not only do we all have an equal say, but we all legally have an equal say, so no one person (or two persons, as the case would be otherwise) would have all the power even though they say the rest of us have an equal say. It would be easier in the long run, because otherwise we'd have to have insurance out on us as employees, etc etc etc. Pretty much everyone's response was that doing that would be too hard because then we'd have to pull together 6 people to sign documents, and some bullshit about too many cooks. Fast forward to about a month ago and it turns out everyone being partners would make paperwork a million times easier. Another point was taxes. Originally we were going to not charge taxes because the government doesn't really care if we make under $20k a year or something like that. I was for charging taxes, because A) people expect it, so it's not like an extra 13% is going to turn people away, and B) it's easier to do something now and be used to it than introduce it down the line and have people question why we're charging extra money all of a sudden. Of course, everyone dismisses me as "Jamesing" again, only to find out a month or two later that wait a minute, we can claim bought/rented equipment as business expenses on taxes if we save the receipts. So now we're charging taxes. TL;DR, people bitch about me explaining why we should be doing things, only to find out later that doing that thing was what we should've been doing in the first place. I feel kinda useless because I'm "just" an audio technician who would rather spend $7-90 in renting fees chargeable to the customer than $2400 to buy my own equipment, I don't get brought on as many jobs because one guy (the guy in charge, of course) has his own shitty microphone and that's good enough. No, James, you're just an audio tech, we don't need to split our money with another person, we have a microphone right here! See, it connects right into my camera! Never mind that it's noisy, has a short range that can't be extended because of the kind of plug it has, we can fix it in post. My teachers were right, audio is one of the most underappreciated jobs in the industry.
Actually, as someone who is three years into university study and has done countless essays at both the second and third year (on management, marketing and politics) requiring referencing, anything Wikipedia says does need to be taken with a grain of salt. Yes Wikipedia articles have their own references, but they usually have so few references compared to a proper scholarly article that inevitably much of the article content isn't actually from those references. Also if it's for an assignment, referencing scholarly articles shows that you've put the effort in to actually finding credible references rather than just doing the lazy thing and going to Wikipedia. Scholarly articles also have the benefit of being peer-reviewed, unlike Wikipedia articles which are your average joe moderating what another average joe says. Anyways, I remembered just then why I don't play racing games online. Got into an online game in Project Cars, and fucking everyone blocks, forces off the track or uses other players as buffers through corners. Fuck, where's the fun in racing if you're going to be an asshole.
Of course, you can't use wikipedia as a source for university, but you also can't use any other kind of encyclopedia either. My problem is that dickheads won't just admit they're wrong and instantly go for the "wikipedia isn't trustworthy" route.
Friends went to go see Mad Max without me. Fucking assholes.
i just realized my cats are getting old, they're both 12 years old now and health problems have been steadily creeping up :(
When doing working on a group animation project and everyones using 3DS Max, everything's going fine and smoothly. And then there's always that one person who simply HAS to use Maya.
I switched to Maya for a little while last year. Fuck Maya.
I am getting absolutely fucking sick of this stupid country's terrible fucking infrastructure. $75 a month for slow-ass internet that barely works, phone and TV?? Why???? How fucking money-grubbing does a company have to be? God forbid I wanna play a game and skype with some friends, or watch youtube, or do fucking anything.

It costs ~$50 a month just for DSL alone here. [editline]e[/editline] Another thing that gets my goat is our stupid router. [t]http://i.imgur.com/gwByuCW.png[/t] Mainly because no one trusts me enough to be able to go in and change one stupid setting.
Forgot to cancel my HBO Nordic sub so now I can't buy Witcher 3 on release. Atleast I can watch Game of Thrones until next month :))))))))))
Learned that one of my bosses who was in charge of the focus group I went to for work a few weeks ago (that my fucking idiot coworker went to as well) had e-mailed my immediate supervisor and told her not to allow my coworker to attend any future focus groups. Sucks because he made us both look like idiots during that meeting since we're both looped together in the same team. He could be hurting my chances of moving up and I want to drop kick him????
I do nothing but worsen the lives of the people around me. I want to kill myself but I can't bring myself to do it, so I wish that I'd just die in some freak accident. I just almost made something better, but I let the person I was talking to down right at the end and they just left, just gave up and went to sleep. I wish I could do that. Just go to sleep.
How anime is the only damn serious, often for-adult genre of animation in existence. There ain't nothing but maybe one or two examples in western animation of a serious animation. No computer animated movies, no animated movies, 90 percent of the TV shows are for the littlest tiniest babies, or at most teenagers, and then what cartoons there are for adults are 100 percent comedies like Family Guy or Rick and Morty. Same for most online animations. I want Western Animation to be taken seriously for once, to have it's own Samurai Champloo or something. And no Japanese shit for once.
PSN being down is getting really fucking old. I just want to play GTA online with a friend who's having a bad fucking day.
Got steering wheel from friend, thought it will be fun to play games. Tried it, god damn it feels awful, I mean I drive every day in my own car irl, and when I turn game wheel I somewhat imagine I will get sudden force of gravity pulling my in opposite direction to where I turn, while in the end - I just sit there not feeling a shit. This dissapointed me a lot. But then again - you cant drive 240 mph irl and get away with crash. P.S - I am not an idiot who thought game steering wheel will create magic force field around me and push me around, I mean that I just didn't expect such bland feeling from it.
I still can't beat OP8 Vorac because Gearbox and Triptych decided to hire Hitler, Satan, Mussolini, and Stalin to design him.
One of my girlfriend's friends committed suicide. [editline]15th May 2015[/editline]
Got steering wheel from friend, thought it will be fun to play games.
