Some things in Fallout: New Vegas can't be repaired, even if you have the items that should allow you to do so, and it's fucking annoying. My outfit I wear involves a scarf, so when it breaks, I have to go find a new one every time.

If you don't think of other races or genders as inferior or shit like that, then you're not. Saying something can't make you racist, that doesn't make any fucking sense. Me and my friend like to co-op through games, after one solid day of being completely unable to play anything that didn't constantly save progress (like Borderlands, where if I finish a mission while he's not there he's fucked and can't do anything about it) I was just like "dude you need an ethernet connection."

I've gotten to the point where any time I'm in a conversation with a friend and they say anything about any of these hot topics I just joke "uh that's racist" super sarcastically.
They should really get rid of the gary's birthday unbanning. Somehow SH is even worse now and it was already a shithole. I love old games. I can spend hundreds of hours in KotOR even today. I love the old Fallouts, the old TES games, Vampire the Masquerade, all those old RPGs, and tons of other old games.
However, the problem one runs in to with these old games is that none of them ever fucking work. Y'know what, old game, new system, bound to be problems, fine. It's a fact of life.
But I have major problems with services like Steam that are modern and are continuously updated selling these types of games that are fixer uppers at best if they even [I]can[/I] be fixed, and look like shit because they can't run in modern resolutions half the time. I got KotOR, can't handle resolutions above 1280x1024. I go download the widescreen fix, and it doesn't work, apparently this might be because of Steam itself. I would have to go download some illegal crack just to make it work. So I'm just fucked with this game that can't fit on modern resolutions, and that's just bullshit. Another game I have, Deadly Premonition, just flat out doesn't fucking work. Crash on startup from the get-go, and it's far from the only case.
Bottom line, if your game doesn't fucking work on modern systems, can't even handle basic 1920x1080, you shouldn't be allowed to sell it on modern services. Fuck off until your game actually works.

When KOTOR was released, widescreen wasn't really a thing you know. You know what you should have done? Not bought it. It is such a trivial thing to complain about, too.
My computer temps get way now that I have an NVIDIA card. I need to get more fans but it's like $30 for some cheap ones and I have to wait until I get paid to afford some cheap ones, and even longer for nicer ones. Aaaah

It wasn't, and that's why it should be upgraded so it's to the standards of modern computers. If someone with no access to the source code can make a program to hack it to work, I'm pretty sure the developers can fiddle with it so it has official widescreen support.

That's not what I'm complaining about. I'm complaining about selling a game on a digital download service like Steam that should be maintained, curated, and updated consistently (because isn't that kind of one of the perks of digital markets) yet selling games that straight up don't fucking function on a modern computer.
I don't think it's a dumb idea that the things you sell should actually work.

I know sickness makes people desperate, but damn me if this tinfoil hat nonsense about 'knowing the cure' doesn't piss me off when I see it. 20 years ago we didnt even have half the medicines we currently possess used to treat cancer. If caught early many tumors have 80-95% cure rates. Problem is if everybody ends up ruining their own health or coming in at stage 3b or 4a or higher it's going to be difficult at best to hope for a cure, especially with certain sorts of tumor. And liver metastasis is a death sentence for the simple reason that it's the liver responsible for metabolizing the drugs used to keep people alive in the first place.

Okay so yesterday I fried my motherboard in the middle of a GTA V session, today I learned that DHL does not ship to PO boxes and for that reason will have to send my package back...
To sum it up:
- I won't have a new motherboard or a replacement motherboard for at least a week
- I will have to use my phone with cracked screen for at least another week
Fucking hell, and this all while in mid-exams and I could actually use something fun to cheer me up, my PC breaking and a package being delayed isn't really helping.
