Well, I wish I could feel that again with my current car. I loved it, it was quiet when you wanted it to be but sounded great when you revved it (inline six, just like a BMW or TVR), it looked great, it had a hell of a lot of power and moved fast and was mated to a six speed auto gearbox with sports shift that I always wanted in an auto car. It is still all of those things, but the magic just disappears? When I look at it I don't see the limited edition factory bodykit and bright orange paint; I see the very small chips in the paint, the small crack on the windscreen, the slightly unaligned front bumper with lots of scrapes underneath it, and the scratches in the rear bumper when its moronic last owner tried to mount a trailer (and the fucking gutter rash he gave the rims). It doesn't seem as fast or exciting as when I first drove it, and I rarely get the feeling of putting the gear selector in sports shift mode. I just leave it in auto mode and never see the revs ever go above 2,000rpm. And now it's problematic because I want to fix those niggles eg the paint chips on the front bumper, but those would cost money to be professionally fixed which is money I could otherwise save for a holiday. I could sell the car and downgrade to another like my last car, but since then the market price has dropped $1,000 and because I'm a young driver that's an instant 20% knocked off the resale price (young seller of a sports car, bad combo for buyers), so I'd only get $8,000 of my $11,000 back from 12 months ago. That's not factoring for it being a limited edition, but the only limited stuff is the bodykit (grey inserts on the bumpers and skirts and grey side mirrors), 6 speed auto instead of 5 speed, premium sound system and dual-zone climate control. Aka not much. I've always been pretty fond of the Mirror's Edge girl's design. It's always been really cool. Like shit, I want some of her clothes.
There's no pleasing people. Faith is actually a pretty strong character, who does a job well and kicks ass while doing it, isn't a useless damsel in distress who needs a big strong man to save her and has a character arc, but OH NO SHE SHOWS SOME SKIN FUCKING SEXIST PIGS.

I think she's really well designed, personally.

Faith is among the good represented female game characters, in my opinion. Then again, according to SJWs the best female character would probably be overweight, gay, transgendered and the ultimate mary sue, because any character flaws would be the patriarchy being sexist against women.

It's cool to see a character that shares similarities with you as the player. It doesn't always have to be BLATANT though, which I think a lot of more extreme feminists forget. It doesn't have to be IN YOUR FACE LOOK AT THIS PERSON THEY ARE DIFFERENT BUT IT'S A GOOD DIFFERENT. It can be done subtly well and a lot of game studios are perfectly capable of doing that. And some of the time they don't, which is where the anger comes from, I think. But yeah, it's taken to some ridiculous levels a lot of the time. You gotta remember that the majority of the people who yell and scream about this kinda thing on Tumblr are usually pretty young so they do a lot of mimicking of what they hear from the older, not so good examples. There's a big culture of people on there who think putting things in ALL CAPS and calling everyone an asshole for not thinking exactly as they do is a good way to change opinions and it's not which makes them look dumb as hell. :v I'm gonna save this discussion for a thread that's not this one, but I just wanted to throw my two cents in.
