The fact that Fallout Shelter is going to take "a few months" to come to Android. Knowing game development cycles, it'll be about a month before FO4 comes out, and at that time I'll be busy at school and work.

So this kinda got me mad. So I didn't have much to do today. I work in a computer/phone repair shop and I am utterly reliant on how many customers walk in through the front door. That is what determines how I spend my time. Since I didn't have anything to do today, I spent most of it separating glass from LCDs from phone screens we have a huge stock pile of so I can refurbish them and use them later (in-turn improving our profit margins on phone repairs from a meager 30% to almost 90%).
The store is situated in a community center, and the company which owns it also technically owns the shop. Since it's in a community center most days teens and whatnot stroll in and hang out for an hour or two while I help them figure things out with their phones or computers. No biggie, most of the time this happens I have nothing else going on and when I'm otherwise occupied they leave me alone. Most of the time it's also some minute small issue like no SD cards being detected or a particular website running slow. Little 5 minute quick fixes.
WELL, today my boss-boss gave me a mini-lecture. He has cameras allover the place and I guess he saw that for the last two hours of the day today I was at the front desk casually chatting with these two guys who volunteer at the center. I didn't have anything else to do so why would I not. It's a way for me to spend my time in a method that doesn't fill me with absolute boredom. Any other day when it's slow like that I would be in the back with my head on the desk.
He said that it's a business, not a hang out, and that I should be spending my time more wisely and I was just like "well on slow days like today not much happens, and I'd rather spend it helping some kids out and having a chat with them than doing nothing" and he was like "there should always be something to do" but like, there isn't. The complete and total irony behind all of this is that our parent company, the one who owns the center, and the boss-boss man I was speaking to, is an [I]advertising company[/I]. If he wants me to have more to do he needs to do his job and advertise for us.
I don't hate him for it, I definitely understood where he was coming from and I agree that my shop is not a hang out, but when I actually have things to do they leave me alone. I don't mind it one bit if some kids show up to hang out and talk when I've got nothing to do. From what my other coworkers have told me he's always been a huge stickler about how we all spend our time down there, and time and time again it's been explained to him that if nobody walks in, then there's not much to do. It doesn't seem to be sticking, though. He suggested that I help people upstairs advertise, but once again that is not my job. I don't know how to advertise or sell services, the people upstairs do. It's not my problem that they don't understand the work that I do enough to sell them to somebody. It's not my job to find other things to do beyond performing computer and phone repair.
The only thing that really bothered me out of the lecture he gave me was when he said "If you want this to be a long-term thing you need to consider how to spend your time more productively". Because of me we now have the means to practically triple our profit on phone repairs, which is where a majority of our income originates. I don't seem to be getting any respect for that from him, only from my manager. Who knows, maybe he just had a bad day today or something.
So I got almost a 100 dumbs in a day for joking that I'd rather lose a finger than get a papercut. :suicide: Is this something that happens in LMAO Pics?

Despite what the thread is about, they're really serious about 'humor' :v: my friend used to make OC for the thread once and awhile and his drawings were a hit! Now he gets dumbed by an internet crowd that has an unfunny taste in shit and takes stuff way too seriously. Everyone who posts in that thread are generally people I don't want to talk to because they act like their humor is better than anyone else's :v:

I know this is a day late, but: Can you clarify this? Do you mean you can't have two of the same letter in a row, or two of the same letter in a password?
The former is annoying and a bit dumb if you don't limit it to 3/4+ repeats. The latter would do nothing for password security, actually it would [I]reduce[/I] security because there's fewer possibilities for a given length.
Please tell me it's the former.

This so much. They cut my hours at work again for no good reason (apparently because I had more hours than the other cashiers... wtf???) That and they keep piling manager's responsibilities on me.
Shit, today I had to convert an entire cash register float bag by myself, because corporate wanted us to deposit it but with zero coins, so I had to do exchanges on like 3 other bags and the open register to balance it out (I suck at math so it took me 2x as long as a regular money exchange does for me). And then I had to stay even later than my normal shift to cover for some asshole who didn't bother showing up, and they didn't let me stay long enough to get the full 8 hours in. They then had me haul over 10 grand to the bank, what the hell. What also pisses me off is that I do a lot of the work around there while other people are lazy as shit. Also, like 4 people quit already, and another one is quitting, and they aren't even hiring anyone new yet.
The only reason I haven't quit is because it's so close to my house (a few blocks) and they are usually flexible with the schedule if you have to take an emergency day off or something (but they just keep cutting everyone's hours FOR NO FUCKING REASON).
People who have a high ranking responsibility, but abuses it to pick on someone.
