Buzzfeed is probably one of the worst sites I've ever been to
"This doesn't feel cute, or make me laugh, or make me cringe... wait, how did I miss that one? That one describes how I feel perfectly! This makes me feel soccer."
That last sentence is downright patronizing and abhorrent. We don't need to check anything. We know racism and discrimination is still in abundance, and we are trying to do something about it. "hey you're trying!" Trying what? Checking if I'm fucking something that doesn't exist? Why should I feel ashamed because of my colour, gender and race? Why should I feel guilty of something that is BEYOND ALL of our control? We don't choose where our conciousness goes, so I don't fucking think people should have a say in what i should feel fucking guilty about or not. Fuck Tumblr and it's "down with le white patricarchy xddd"
As much as that last sentence makes me [del]soccer[/del] cringe, did you not notice the other sentences saying "this is in no way something to feel bad or ashamed of"? Ah, wait, sorry, I forgot to check my literacy privilege. Not everyone can read, and I should remind myself of that before jumping to conclusions.
You live with 53 out of 100 points of privilege. You’re quite privileged. You’ve had a few struggles, but overall your life has been far easier than most. This is not a bad thing, nor is it something to be ashamed of. But you should be aware of your advantages and work to help others who don’t have them. Thank you for checking your privilege.
Ok? I guess the fact that I'm an overweight white male overpowers the depression, having to have skipped meals to save money(I KNOW being overweight doesn't show it, but it's happened) nad the fact that I always feel poor.
The best part- and the infuriating part- is that it assumes being a white straight male automatically makes you a brat.
i've never had a partner though :(
35/100 It's America-centric so I don't know
79/100 holy shit
Oh dear you must be responsible for all poverty, rape, murder, and bullying in the world.
As dumb as this quiz is you guys really aren't understanding the concept of "privilege"
As dumb as this quiz is you guys really aren't understanding the concept of "privilege"
Were we supposed to be talking about privilege seriously in this thread? Also I know what the concept of privilege is about as SJWs generally see it.
78/100
I got 46/100 and answered things honestly but can't take it seriously. I had a good childhood and while my parents didn't hold my hands through life after I was 18 they certainly did what they could to help push me into the world. Quite frankly, I would imagine myself to be at least somewhat privileged (not trying to brag or sound like an ass). I'm a gay, white, male who grew up in a very progressive area of the world... these questions are too vague. They don't take circumstance into account. Sure, I'm gay and yes I was made fun of for it in high school but it wasn't like a horrifying experience that ruined my life like the quiz makes it out to be. For every asshole there were 10 more people that were wholly supportive... and that's just the "gay" part. Quiz kinda made me mad, gotta shake it off and remember it's just the internet. :zoid:

I doubt there's any middle/high schooler in the US who hasn't been called a fag/faggot before.
What if I'm not sure of my sexuality yet? am I heterosexual or not?
(75/100) Tumblr must hate me...
I have to say, that gigantic red all caps box makes me suspect that this is at least a little tongue-in-cheek. Like, "YOU'RE THE MOST PRIVILEGED" comes across as something sorta taking the piss out of itself.
White atheist heterosexual man, yet I come up with this shitty score. Not sure that quizz stands for anything shit and giggles really.
You live with 48 out of 100 points of privilege. You’re not privileged at all. You grew up with an intersectional, complicated identity, and life never let you forget it. You’ve had your fair share of struggles, and you’ve worked hard to overcome them. We do not live in an ideal world and you had to learn that the hard way. It is not your responsibility to educate those with more advantages than you, but if you decide you want to, go ahead and send them this quiz. Hopefully it will help.
Lol 100/100 do I win?
'You live with 47 out of 100 points of privilege.'
45/100 I guess being accused of being a car bombing taig probably put me under the line, for shame lol.
"I have never been the only person of my race in a room." Well I'm the only person in the house right now so nope. "I have never been denied an opportunity because of my gender." Nope, they were advertising free pap smears on the radio today. "I have never done my taxes myself." That's right, my employer does it for me and even if they didn't, I don't reach the minimum income threshold anyway.
80/100 I feel that this quiz is targeted at a veeeeery specific audience. Or maybe it's just because I grew up in a small town in Australia.

Kind of hard to answer the job questions when you've never had a job
45/100 [editline]13th July 2014[/editline] Caucasian unconfirmed male.
26/100 "Not privileged" Whatever, buzzfeed is just another typical biased site.
i've never had a partner though :(
yeah maybe they should check their relationship privilege and stop virgin shaming
Kind of hard to answer the job questions when you've never had a job
Or a religion or a significant other. And some of these questions seem to not take into account severity, for instance the "I have never been mocked for my accent" I get mocked for my accent occasionally because I pronounce words weirdly but it's not a life-threatening oh-god-I-am-so-oppressed thing, it's just a "haha Sam you say awf instead of off"
I have never been called “fag.”
uhhhh
me and my friends call each other fags all the time. do I get privileged for that?
"I have never been *stuff here* for my identities" What
Seriously guys, anybody know what this means? I still don't.
