I spent countless hours playing on Metal Gear Online (2), and as much as it's moments of pure fucking annoyance. It oddly enough still has a place in my heart.
System Shock 2
Antichamber. Damn Portal didn't prepare me for that.
SR3 All the STALKERS (even Clear Sky) Half-Life 2/Ep1/Ep2/Ep3 GTA: SA/V Beyond: Two Souls (actually really, really loved it) AC4: Black Flag CoD4: Modern Warfare (none since though) Gmod Killing Floor Plenty of others I can't think of off hand...
There are too damn many. I'll just list the ones from the recent few years tos horten my list. GTAV Red Dead Redemption Skyrim Fallout New Vegas Black Ops II(Please don't even start, for the amount of time I spend playing this with friends, it's entirely worth it.) Sleeping Dogs Serious Sam 3 Far Cry 3(Once you get past uPlay.) Contagion Alan Wake on the PC If I extended this to games older than FO NV, I'd just end up going all the way back to Doom, and that, my friend, would be a long list. It gave me this weird déjà vu from when I bought a network adapter specifically to play SSX3 online, and then I discovered they ended the service not a week before.
Half Life 1-ep:2
For me: All the Fallouts (in their own way) Stalker SoC and CoP (CS was bullshit for me) Arcanum Sacred 1 & 2 Torchlight 1 and 2 RIFT LOTRO All the Half-Lifes Diablo 1 and 2 Borderlands and Borderlands 2 despite their flaws Titan Quest: Immortal Throne Grim Dawn Terraria Starbound Divine/Beyond Divinity Nox Elder Scrolls I-IV (except for Skyrimjob) Age of Mythology and lots more that I can't be bothered to mention.
Team Fortress 2, for $0.00 you really can't complain
I did enjoy orange box. Because I have no pc its the only way I can play TF2. I played that for hours and hours. And it also comes with portal and half life 2
