Tribes 2. Those custom-made gamemodes were fun as fuck.
Is UT2k4 considered dead? I assume it is.
Team Fortress Classic
When TF2 came out, which I despised the artstyle of and I didn't even own the game at the time as I was but a seven-year-old with no money and like ten Steam-games to my name, it killed TFC's playerbase.
Until hats came in, I never gave a shit about TF2 because everyone looked like the same cartoonish clone, as opposed to the soldiers I'd been playing with beforehand.
[sp]also where the fuck did Hunted go?[/sp]

Also GTAIV, then it'd probably have plans for GFWL removal instead of Rockstar iirc giving up on it.
Tiberian Sun.
Garry's Mod. The community is thriving, but not in a good way.
Same goes with Minecraft. Survival multiplayer was so much fun back in 2010 even if it was incomplete and filled with bugs, at least the community wasn't kids.

We've got plenty of Facepunch servers filled with perfectly mature people.
Ace of Spades. The original game with that 1 randomly generated map with all the hills was really fun, building a fort and defending it/slowly mining away the ground under the the enemy fort was amazing/terrifying. Now it's a couple dozen Brazilian kids playing tdm/arena mods or that awful jagex version which was empty last I checked.
Dungeon Siege.
Halo CE for PC. Nobody online speaks English anymore.
World of Warcraft
Little Big Planet / LBP2
Does it count if the game always had a shit community?

and doesn't deserve it?
Max Payne 3's multiplayer, it's surprisingly fun for how terribly balanced it is.
Fistful of Frags
Neotokyo and Bloody Good Time
Borderlands 2. Only people still playing are semi popular LPers

I completely agree man, I had it for 360 and for steam. The balancing is terrible, yet the game entertained me for weeks on end. Probably because of my love for GTA 4 Free roam and (the surprisingly great) Team Death match. Something about hopping through a window or jumping off a building to kill several people was beyond satisfying.

I found Obsidian Conflict fun with a lot of people.
[editline]29th March 2014[/editline]
also Action Half-Life 1 and 2

BL2 has probably been done a billion times and that just proves no one cares about it that much any more
and yet they're stupid enough to do that :v:

I totally get what you're saying man. I was a senior in high school in 2010. Those were the best times of Minecraft for me as well.
Battlefront / Battlefront 2.
Serious Sam
I remember when SS3's multiplayer was the hot shit....now the community seems quiet & I'm lucky to get at least 1 dude to join my game unfortunately.
Perhaps it'll change when Serious Sam 4 is out?
Midnight Club 2 just because that game was ridiculous.
BF Bad Company 2
So much more fun than the newer ones but its completely dead because the new one is out
Doesn't count for shit how good or how bad the quality is, as long as some game has the newest multiplayer all the other games die
Unreal Tournament 2004.
East VS West was nice before it got cancelled. Very eager and dedicated fans.
The Ship - god I wish that community was still alive.
with the amount of people who say they wish the ship was still alive you could easily revive it...
TrackMania.
I seriously loved people that putted lots of time into the map/include custom music/added a mod in it.
Sadly, most TrackMania United servers is filled with Leaderpoints locks.
Tribes 2
UT 99 (Still does, to an extent)
True Combat: Elite
Hostile Intent
Infiltration
Half Life Firearms
Urban Terror
