When people cheat on their significant others, married or not. For fuck's sake, some of us can't even get one. Current relationship not working out? Break up, get closure, THEN start seeing others. Why break the heart and trust of a person who loves you?
Or maybe i'm just weird and old-fashioned.
The ending of crisis core is pretty sad.
My life.
The end of 'The Green Mile'.
When you find out a person you like is already with someone else.
Being at school and being called in to the office to be told that my mother has died. Genuine fear of mine

Manly tears were shed.
LOST series
This fucking song right here. It makes me nostalgic, but it also reminds me of every single sad moment from LOST, which was like once every couple of episodes. I don't care what anyone says, it was the first series I ever fell in love with and had such a massive impact on my life.
The death of young soldiers.
I'll take some French troops in Afghanistan a few years back.
They were ambushed in a valley, one was only 18 and as he lay there dying, no one could help him he continuously cried out for mummy.
Far away from home, fighting a cause he had nothing to do with really, and in that moment of intense loneliness he wanted nothing else in the world but his mother. His wounded comrades could do nothing to help whilst hearing his anguish.
I just think that sense of longing for home, for mother and nothing else in those final painful instants after having completely forgotten patriotism or whatever made them sign up is quite..sad really.
Edit:
And in a broader sense when parents outlive all their children, it saddens me terribly.
One of our Japanese family friends had a child who died very young, at the age of around 4 or 5. They didn't have any other children
With time the parents eventually moved on from the pain. But in Japan records of people's registration are used to send personally addressed propaganda tracts and campaign flyers for different political parties when they get towards voting age.
They had never heard the name of their son pronounced in over fifteen years, but around the period of what would have been his 20th birthday (voting age in Japan and majority for many things) they received a deluge of mail and political flyers addressed to him, congratulating him for his 20th birthday and about starting to vote and engage on political life bringing all the memories back and sadness for what could and should have been.

That is the fucking saddest thing I have ever seen in my life.
The end of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.
They just wanted to shower, man. What the fuck?

Ending of American History X
The District 9 and Bioshock Infinite ending.

Ok wow. What the hell. This is an INSURANCE COMMERCIAL? Just how hitler do you have to be to film something like this as a commercial?
I'm sitting here crying like a little child. The tears. They won't stop.

Would someone really get bullied for having a deaf dad? I mean how much of an asshole do you have to be to do that?

When people care more about the side who's attacking other's country and do most of the killings than the people who was attacked and killed when trying to defend themselves.
I blew up Megaton

Isn't that even sadder then?
Dying for an unjust cause?
Before my mother passed away, she joked about how she would be back to haunt us. "I'll mess with the lights and TV and stuff, you'll know it's me."
Ever since then, every light flicker, every electrical failure, every power short, I believe that somehow, somewhere, she's doing that to make me feel better. Shit, a few days ago I was pissed off about something, and the light in my bedroom started flickering, and I know it's brand new. Almost as if to say 'It's okay, I'm here.'
I know it isn't her, just coincidence. But it still makes me feel both shitty and happy at the same time.
As for movies/games:
The ending of The Road
Walter's speech about refusing cancer treatment in Breaking Bad.
The intro of The Last of Us.
Pretty much every movie where the dog dies in the end.
and the end of The Walking Dead.
The clip what comes after the credits on Final episode of P&SWG.
I have no idea why, but that made my kinda sad. Not alot, but kinda.
Reading old chatlogs between my friends and me, before my life went to hell.
Speaking of Thai insurance ads.

The full one is the one that really gets me.
"While not all fathers are perfect, they will always love you perfectly."
fuuuuuck
also, fucking marley and me. The only thing anyone in that theatre was able to do was shuffle out trying to hide the tears from all the other sobbing people. Fuck that movie
every time I go to a military funeral and hear the 21 gun salute
I never understood it as a kid but now it makes chills run down my spine
When I die in video games.
The episode in the Twilight Zone where the drunk store Santa gets to give gifts for the kids in the orphanage.
I dunno, this picture just makes me feel empty a little bit everytime I look at it.
A 16 year old German Nazi Soldier is terrified of the gun battle that was occurring at the time. The commanding officer is seen here yelling at the boy to get up and fight. If you look closely, the boy is so scared that he (and not to be funny or cruel) pissed on himself. 16 is a young age, but old enough to realize that war isn’t for the weak or for the tough.
