As for the knife thing everyone was talking about: I don't think most people carry their knife out of self-defense. It would be very hard in reality to draw a weapon from your pocket, open it and utilize it against an attacker in that closed space you need to strike with a knife. So to solve that problem, I bring a gun to a knife fight.

It's funny because there's a bit of irony in it too. Rambo doesn't really carry anymore than an M60 and a bowie.
Phone, house & garage keys, a metal case with cards (driver's license, credit card, etc), car keys/bus card (depending on if I take the bus or drive), knife or pepper spray.
In case someone asks, both are illegal to carry and pepper spray is illegal to own. To be honest, I'd rather take a fine for carrying a knife or pepper spray than getting mugged, stabbed and beaten up (yes, I live in the shitty part of town).

I have this one and I used to carry it all the time whenever I was wearing cargo pants but after switching phones, I kinda stopped carrying it around so much because I just don't need it. I still carry it in my backpack where it usually is tho.
