I don't know what mythical place you live in where there's absolutely no danger is but some of us actually live in bad areas. For example there's been seven different porches and buildings burnt down in my neighborhood and we have the guy on film from a neighbors security camera and know the general area where he should work and live based off the patterns of the fires and the cops still refuse to do anything about it.
And that's just the tip of the ice berg in this god-forsaken city and there's far worse places out there. So fine, stay in your delusional utopia but don't try to come in here and shit on people that feel the need to protect themselves from reality.

For one honey bun, calling someone a nerd in this day and age isn't an insult, it just means that their interest don't fall inline with firearms for the most part.

In FL it took $112.00 and 37 days from application to permit in hand. Not including cost of class.

different knives for different purposes. I have my typical EDC knife (Kershaw Scrambler Blackwash), a separate knife for heavy duty cutting and prying and general abuse (svord peasant), a folding utility knife (Gerber EAB), a knife I use for cutting food (Opinel No. 6), and an emergency knife I keep in my wallet (Ian Sinclair Cardsharp2)

Yeah, knives are actually really ineffective for self-defense. If the other guy's got a gun, or he's stronger than you, a knife is probably just going to make things worse. I don't think anyone seriously carries a knife just because they think they can protect themselves with it.
