I love the Dreamcast, Gamecube and PS2 equally. They all had their own drawbacks but they were still all great. I never played an Xbox as it just didn't really offer anything I didn't have already, and I hated the controller and size.
Gamecube, had the best controller imo.

No one fucking cares. Why is it that every console thread has to have a PC elitist fuck in it?
Anyway the Gamecube was the best one since it was indestructible and a great line-up of games.
Gamecube
The countless hours playing Animal Crossing

Xbox can go fuck itself, it's big, clumsy, noisy and breaks easily, and it only had a few exclusives worth playing, although those exclusives were very good.
Why do people say this, we have had one Xbox that was under constant use until the 360 came out and it worked fine.

Also, Xbox.

My original Xbox still works just fine. Can't say the same about the two 360s I've owned. Both ended up with the usual RROD, and then I performed the x-clamp fix on each of them (and then they ceased working after another 4 months or so).

He's trolling.
PS2
Sly Cooper, Ace Combat, Killzone was pretty decent if you didn't pay attention to the hype....good memories.
Gamecube by far.
Gamecube
Metroid Prime 1&2, Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, Star Fox Assault, Legend Of Zelda collection, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and a very solid controller. What's not to love?
Gamecube. It was technically the first real console that I owned as a kid, aside from the Atari VCS 2600 and the Bally Professional Arcade.
Metroid Prime 1&2
Both of those are just incredible games. Especially the first one.
I'd have to say Gamecube. Xbox comes close second and PS2, I don't like. I've always hated the Playstation controllers.
PS2. I still play with almost every day, because i got it recently.
GameCube for me cause it seamed like it was the most elaborate but had fucking awesome games and a fucking awesome controller to play them with. /ilovegamecube
IMO each one has their own advantages.
Dreamcast = Unique controller, some excellent exclusives.
PS2 = A fuckton of exclusives.
Gamecube = Super Smash Bros Melee. :buddy:
XBOX = Built in hard drive for storage rather than memory cards.

Not true for the original XBOX. Haven't had a single issue with it during years of use.
Are you sure you're not thinking of the XBOX 360?
PS2 was awesome, but never had one b/c the year I got my PS1, it was already announced that it's going to come out at Q3 of 2000.
Gamecube. The controllers are really comfortable in your hands.
PS2 -> so many classics, unfortunately I only had a few games, but honestly I played so many PSX games on my ps2 that I almost consider them the same.
Xbox -> Morrowind and Halo. Had a few other games, like Metal Arms - Glitch in the System... that game was amazing...
Gamecube -> Sadly I've never owned one, and I've only played a couple of its games on the wii. I missed out on wind waker and ssbm among other things... :(
Dreamcast -> Honestly I didn't know it existed until well after they weren't sold anymore.
My favorite? Well, I spent a gazillion hours playing morrowind on the xbox, but the PS2 is so epic... it's a tie, methinks
