Actually, I tried for a little, and I somehow got my eyes to be able to change the direction I saw it go to. Mostly by looking at either edge of the image.
The default for me seems to be that they head to the right.

Holy shit, that's the best example of those vague movement pictures I've ever seen. After a minute of looking at it, I could change it's direction just by moving my eyes, feels like I'm controlling it, like it's some super advanced cooler-than-touch ToddPad.
And it just got even worse. Now the image isn't moving to either side, Todd is simply moving back and forth as if his head was the ball in a game of ping pong.
I could never manipulate the spinning girl as easily as this.
