A bit late, but it's from the British series Skins. The guy had just humiliated and beaten up some drug dealer. A moped drives by and the engine produces loud bangs sounding like gunshots.

I'm guessing the timing is off. Either that or the moped has a rev limiter set to a very low RPM.

I've been over this before.
Some comics just don't work in this thread. Gunnerkrigg is one of them.
Don't get me wrong - it's an awesome comic, easily in my top ten favorites, and you all should definitely read it. But it's not LMAO.
A good comic for this thread should be self-contained. Gunnerkrigg relies so much on world-building and character development that you just can't post it all without posting half the entire archives. Even the guest comics tend to be over-reliant on backstory.
You saw that. You tried to explain the joke (btw, Coyote in Gunnerkrigg *is* the Coyote from Native American mythology, and thus literally a god), but, as the famous reaction image says, "if you have to explain the joke, there is no joke".
Other comics likewise just shouldn't be posted here. Guilded Age. Order of the Stick. Girl Genius. Lovecraft is Missing. All long comics, with even longer archives of content you *have* to read for things to make sense. Doesn't mean they're bad, it just means they're bad for this thread.
I've tried posting them myself. It never went well. Even the pigeon comics. Eventually I figured all this out, which is why I'm telling you - so you can learn from *my* mistakes.
Edit: Oh, and you didn't even end with a proper ending. There's still a ton more of that story yet to come.

Characters? No backstory necessary for them (I actually think they've never been seen before in the comic, but I'm not re-reading the archives to check). Context is easily determined - they're a video game review site. That bit might be a bit tricky, but by panel 3 you should have figured it out. It's got three jokes in it - the Kotaku dig, the main Xbox one, then finally the sock-puppet visual gag. That's a good joke density - alone, none of those jokes would be even lol-worthy, but combined, it works. Length is good, art is relatively good (it's no Gone With the Blastware, but it's also no Bob and George).
Those are the key things when posting a webcomic here. And now you know!

Technically it doesn't. And shit is bad by most standards, so technically they're both saying it's bad.
