The Cleveland Show: See Family Guy
American Dad: Watered-down version of Family guy with more plot variety.
Essentially, his entire humor basis is on immature violence and simple-humor jokes and liberally-biased culture points, and he drags this out across entire series. When he can't make that work anymore, he abandons any sense of logic or attempts at making points in favor of cut-in jokes, slapstick, and more violence.
It's tiring. While Ted could be good, a breath of fresh air, I don't think anyone expects him to step out of his viewership's comfort zone.

Okay, so everyone on Facepunch, who I think we can agree are not generally all that stupid, are obviously not his target audience. He asked why nobody like Macfarlane. That's why. I'm not saying anything beyond that.
