hmm, ill take the general opinion as, no. i can monitor my self, but im going to school as an lpn though, so i wouldn't be that irresponsible to put my patients s at risk like that. i just wanted to see if any one would do it again. you know, just for the lolz.
I've done this a few times before, and I advise that no one do this. You will regret it dearly.
I get the impression that this would be entertaining for the spectators.
So, i'm behind it. provided, of course, that I don't have to actually take part...
this is the most retarded shit. do not do this, you will get very bad health effects by doing so.
Woah guys! I was up for 100 hours once.
Uh, cool bro.
This contest is kind of stupid...
That's five days
Are you insane
I managed 6 days when I was 13.
My personal best is 36 hours. How the fuck you can manage more than a day and half without sleep is completely beyond me. I can't keep myself awake past the 30 hour mark whatsoever.

I once managed a full 40 hours, but it's around that point that I stopped caring about literally anything.
Also I hallucinated a bit.
This is worse than all the youtube challenge shit FP complains about.
I remember staying awake for like 4 days in a row.
The hallucinations are fucking horrible. I saw my best friend get stabbed to death. It's even worse at night, because it's so fucking scary seeing something you know is fake in the middle of the night.
The hallucinations actually make me want to do it, it's such an interesting experience no matter how negative it is and I get don't get to experience it very often. I wouldn't do it now, but summer would seem okay if I were going to do it. Negative health effects don't seem to be a very good deterrent either, our body can heal from most things and since lack of sleep probably doesn't cause a whole lot of physical damage I'm sure you would be fine later on.

I don't mean to come off as insensitive, but that sounds fucking awesome.
My record is around around 65 hours, you feel like you WANT TO die by that time.
Fun for the first 48, then your short term memory runs out of room and you either turn into a zombie or forget what you did 10 minutes ago, if you don't turn into a zombie then after that you get panic attacks and start contemplating existential stuff, after that you become Mr. Angsty Nihilism Supreme and hope something ends you where you stand.
I've both experienced and witnessed it first-hand.

After 5 days the most I got was seeing giant four post beds everywhere. But I used to stare hypnotically into lights a lot like in a unbreakable trance.
oh i forgot about the hallucinations
yeah those are entertaining for a whole 10 seconds
then they start screaming at you when you close your eyes

Some of them are actually pretty funny to tell the truth :v:
Dumbest shit ever.
I stayed up over 48 when I was younger, and I was really tired.

Ask someone who's had sleep paralysis if it's awesome.
(hint: it's not)

I have had hallucinations about twice when pulling all nighters, and they've been nothing like this. The first time I just saw spoons, forks, knives, plates, tables and shit lying at places for no reason. The second time it happened was much more bizarre. I saw cats everywhere and I also saw stuff like blueprints lying around.
I think you could do it
you just have to let your mind rest while you are awake

If you want to hallucinate take psychedelics so much more enjoyable and better for you than staying awake
Wait. Hold on a second.
You can see weird stuff too?
I did 2 days straight before. Near the end of it, my own shadows were coming alive. Fucking scary. Ass. Shit. This was before I started taking my anxiety meds, so eventually I just went to sleep by clinging onto my dog in my arms and having every single light on.
