Has anyone noticed how Ubisoft pretty much abandoned the first design for Rayman? Nowadays, it doesn't even get so much as a backwards glance or reference.

He used to be a lot cartoonier. What with the bug eyes and the mickey mouse hands.
I can understand that they wanted to modernize the design, but I think it's fairly important for a video game brand to be able to revisit its roots.
They even had a good oppurtunity to do so with Rayman: Origins. There are quite a few different playable designs of Rayman in that game, but
most of those just involve him being a slightly different colour. Bringing in the old design as an alt Rayman would have been awesome.

You know first person games? I think that other people e.x. npcs and such just see a pair of arms holding a gun, axe, hammer etc etc just floating around shooting shit. And just one eye floating above it, following it around.
