Someone told me Video Games look better on Consoles than on PC.
Technically applies to more than just video games but I really hate it when people say "You think you do but you don't" when it comes to opinions on certain things. As far as when it comes to video games, I absolutely hate it when other people tell my what my taste in games should be and statements like these are annoying as hell.
"The Engineer's dispenser automatically heals the sentry next to it so you don't have to repair it yourself."
I'm so glad this shit isn't the case tf2 would be a god damn mess

That seems to be heavily out of context. A 4 hour sesion is not the same as beating the game in 4 hours, nor it takes in consideration whatever replay value there could be.
People can do without defending mediocre trash as 'the next gaming rockstar' or 'a real gamer's game' because everybody's playing it.
I remember back in my TF2 days, Snipers were insulted if they got kills with bodyshots instead of with headshots, and they were expected top apologize when they did that. I remember apologizing a few times when getting bodyshot kills, too, because I was young and thought that's what you're supposed to do.
Also applies to movies and TV shows too but I hate when people justify spoilers by saying it's been out for x amount of time and it's your fault for not seeing/playing it before.
Someone I knew from school was talking about A Link Between Worlds when it came and how he didn't like the look of it. "It should be like the old ones!" He exclaimed. I was confused. LBW is like LTTP. So I asked for clarification. "I mean it would be better if it was like the Nintendo 64 one, Oracina of Time." I was pretty baffled. Not only does he not realise that Zelda started as a 2D game, but he also pronounces ocarina as 'oracina'. It was a perfect storm of terrible.

I've seen many people who don't seem to know what "Tryhard" means.
I've seen many people who don't seem to know what "Tryhard" means.
People seem to use that against teams that are winning. Like some sort of pointless vent-complaint.
you fucking asshole i haven't watched that yet, what's next, you gonna ruin harry potter for me too????
Voldemort is actually Harry's father
My friend says that the NES is the best console, and the ps2 is the worst, he likes the NES because of it's "aesthetic" or something. He also calls every game "unoptimized" because it runs badly on his computer, (ex: doom 4)
I know a guy that refers to any game played in the first person as an FPS. Mirrors edge is an FPS. Portal is an FPS. Skyrim is an FPS.
Shooting guns Shooting portals Shooting arrows Also in every NBA game you're shooting hoops :buddy:
*Playing FPS games* "A parachute, take it then jump from the cliff" "Is that the antagonist?" "Can you go fishing" "Use the toilet" "Name of the weapon that you equipped?" "What happen next?" Goddamnit, just shut the fuck up and watch it for yourself. I can't concentrate when you keep yapping like a goddamn hungry bird.
Strategy game hardcore fanboys are horrible people. Mainly the Paradox and Creative Assembly crowd. God fucking forbid CA release Total Warhammer instead of Historic Game #14 and beware ye Paradox for every DLC you release that has even a hint of the supernatural. I've seen CA get so much hate for daring to release something out of their norm, and when it's actually refreshing, good, and unique people find every single problem possible with it as evidence that the game is a failure. Also the MUH BORDERS shit. Comes in many flavors such as "Those borders." "Gross borders." "Remove X country." "Fix those borders." I want to say most are just sarcasm or a light joke, but I know most aren't and those people are squirming in their chairs that Germany doesn't own Small Piece of Land X and instead owns Irrelevant Plot of Nothing Y. Half the fun of these fucking games is the alternate history unfolding in front of your eyes. Sometimes I want to quit my job and argue with people on the internet for 6 hours a day.
Kids who get mad at you for utilizing a mechanic of the game or playing a certain character i.e. "You only won because you chose teemo"
Every single time one of the kids in my apartment complex talk to me about Minecraft and refer to mods as "hacks" like it's some kind of super rare forbidden technique that only the most savvy players can manage to access
"If you need mods to play the game maybe you're just bad!" Oh fuck off, I just like having a custom hud and shit.
Spec shaming is honestly the shittiest thing
In your case yes, but I'd say it depends. IMO it's alright if someone's paid a premium for something they could get for a lot less. Then it's not "lol ur poor" and instead "you made a terrible and ignorant decision". Such as just a couple of weeks ago when my older brother decided to buy himself a new PC without, for whatever reason, telling me first. 30K SEK for a prebuilt (relative to the price) potato with an i7 6700K and a 980Ti. Fortunately I managed to convince him to return it, I then assembled a system for 18K with very similar specs but with a 1080Ti instead. The guy's managed to keep his job as an engineer for almost 10 years and going despite being a complete doofus. One time he threw a totally fine high-end router/switch combo in the recycling because his ISP gave him a ~newNshiny~ combo that I, after having looked at it for 5 seconds, concluded was complete trash in comparison to his previous gear. (Very nice CISCO/Linksys products). He also bought a Google Cardboard about a year ago, but he couldn't figure out how to fold it and instead managed to fuck it up completely, so he threw that in the trash as well. I laughed really hard when he told me about that little incident. How in the fuck can you work as an engineer solving logical puzzles and design pretty damn complicated things all day, and not be able to fold a piece of cardboard that even includes clear instructions
Whenever someone asks "people still play this?" about a multiplayer game that is less than 10 years old, or a previous iteration in the series.
"If you need mods to play the game maybe you're just bad!" Oh fuck off, I just like having a custom hud and shit.
I find i cant really get immersed in oblivion without some kind of pony race prostitution mod.
