Using DSR at a lower value than 4x requires smoothness and smoothness blurry the image at the point that you loose the improvements in texture definition given by the increased resolution.
Doing 4x DSR on a 1440P monitor is really too demanding for most system since you get 5K.
^^^ Amazing thing about this is you could easily just... not use 4x, you could easily do 3.5x or even 1.5x. You can just... choose whatever you want, that's a thing you can do.
native 1440P produces better image quality than native 1080P but way worse image quality than 1080P with 4x DSR 0% smoothness.
All of this translates in this more or less:
if you have a mid low card stick with 1080P monitor.
if you have a single high end card buy a 1440P monitor
if you have a dual high end card stick with 1080P monitor and do 4x DSR 0%smoothness biggrin.gif[/QUOTE]

Despite the fact that any 2160p monitor has no issue going to 1080p, and actual 2160p is going to run smoother in-game and have much less aliasing and be much cleaner.

How do people not understand that DSR is a downscaling method for AA. You're literally downsizing 2160p to a lower resolution. No shit it isn't going to look nearly as good but apparently its "imperceptible" somehow.

You have no idea how much I wish that were true, my refresh rate is 60 and I usually use ultra settings and anything lower than 45-50fps looks choppy.
