Buy a few rocket fireworks (I would suggest buying three, then securing the mouse inbetween them, I'm not sure one firework has enough power to lift the mouse, better safe than sorry) and send it to space.
Be sure to light all the rockets at once, you don't want them to go off at different times and mess with the flight direction.
Best wishes op. Hope the little guy lives.
If it's a rat, keep it. Rats can do cool shit, like lick your teeth.
Name it Niel, Niel Mousestrong.

Name it Basil.
Basil?
Basil of Baker Street?
Call it
Crab
I'm a bit unsure how to ensure there's sufficient air circulation.
Anyone got any ideas?
Make small holes in the lid and on the box.
Make sure it can't crawl out though

A little fan going maybe?
THEN LATER YOU CAN MAKE IT INTO THE CENTRIFUGE FOR IT'S TRAINING!

I have many many holes, just small enough for it not to be capable of sticking its head through them.

I've been thinking about doing that.
I'll take a look at what i can do.
Well it's pretty obvious it's bleeding from its neck or belly, though I doubt you'll really be able to take a look without a tiny tiny mirror or something.
Hopefully it'll heal on its own but you never know.
I am not experienced with handling rodents, so even if i figured out where the wound was I'd have no clue what to do about it.
So whos paying for the shuttle
i see a lot of blood and heavy breathing for a small rodent, i don't think he's going to live to see his training

Nothing you really can do, maybe give it a luke-warm bath, disinfect it's body (encase of germs, you don't know where it's been.)
Cheapest cost of getting something under 0.75 kilos into space is $8000 from some quick googling.
However, I'm unsure whether they accept living objects...

I think I will attempt bathing it.
Thanks.
When I was small, my parents managed to catch a house mouse in a pot. We kept her as a pet and my brother and I named her Tropical. She lived for five years. Damn.
Also, since I was ninja'd:
Don't bathe your rodent. You will only stress the poor thing to death. Seriously.
I thought I was imagining that too.
Give it a night and if it doesn't improve by tomorrow that should give a better idea of its condition.
(I'm [sp]not[/sp] a licensed vet)

If you're still reading this, by luke-warm bath I don't think that other person meant actually putting it into a sink and trying to wash it yourself...
Just put a rather large bowl or something in there with slightly warm water and see what it does.
Well, I gave it an actual bath. It gets really scared if you pick it up and envelop your hands around it, but it's for some reason comfortable being stroked.
So, i put it in the bath where it stood relatively still, then i just rubbed its fur. Little to no protest.
At least it's cleaner now.
I could not locate the wound.
I still like the space idea

hopefully any wound it does have doesn't become infected now.

The outlook right now is pretty bad, but if he does survive the night I'll bring him to a vet and maybe even keep it.

I'll leave the vote open for an hour.
Blend it.
It's curious that it's so comfortable around humans. Maybe it's somebody's lost fancy rat? I wonder how it got into your house though. You don't have any friends with lost rodents, right?

It's most likely a common wood mouse, or Skogsmus as it's called in Norwegian. They live around in this area.
We have a cat. Cats tend to drag rodents indoors.
It's very likely that it's just a wild rodent.
It being "comfortable" around humans might just be that it's in a shock state.
Give it a red convertible and call it Stuart Little
I'll go buy a new lightbulb. Get some better illumination going.
Get a cat and name them both Tom and Jerry
I already have a large forest cat named Alex, and he will murder this mouse if he finds it. So I keep the mouse cage isolated on my room.
When he first spotted the cage, he started clawing on it. Then he began charging headfirst into it, sending it flying, as if he could smash through the plastic.

that sounds correct, yeah. don't quote me on it though, I can only speak from my own experiences
my cats always bring back birds and mouse as there's a ton of them where I live. sometimes they bring them back alive or injured. I don't think I've ever seen a mouse or bird that has been brought back try to escape me touching them or patting them. they won't bother moving at all unless the cats decide to go in for another strike. it seems like they sort of realize who is the danger and who is not
I have never seen an animal do the same in the wild though :v:
they always try to escape or run by the sight of a person.
