they've always been kind of a strange band, definitely a lot more so than most of their peers in the 70s and 80s, many of whom outwardly tried to appear weird. boc were kind of more mysterious and sinister in a way. i remember reading on some site about a lot of little subtle connections and plots between their songs
imo their first 3 albums are their best and secret treaties is an overlooked rock masterpiece
