spent an hour trying to get my router to work
after unplugging and re-plugging the eithernet cable from the router i just decided to unplug the power and wait
then plug it back in
then it starts working again
also got a bunch of files from that win XP tower onto my main tower (surprisingly there was no porn on the windows xp computer)

man my windows install is a complete mess, i really have to grab that ssd and get this sorted out
is there any way to not lose all of my programs when i reinstall windows, idk if they can be backed up or anything
it would be a massive pain to have to reinstall absolutely everything
i am very tired
so i will take a nap

you could do what i did and install a fresh copy of windows on another HDD/SSD, but keep your old HDD with your old windows and all your programs and files plugged in so you can just put shortcuts to your programs on your desktop and run them from the other HDD

I'm pretty sure as long as you have your windows license key you should be fine. Having windows on one drive but running windows from another is fine, as long as you make sure your computer is booting from the right one.
To be extra safe, unplug your old HDD so you don't accidentally overwrite anything, plug in the new/clean drive and do a fresh windows install.

emulators exist on android, you can play some old console games that way
