May I ask for some cute as fuck lamias?
May I ask for some cute as fuck lamias?
Its a draw thread not a request thread bud, try drawing one yourself and maybe you'll start a thing (see the headless thing on the last page)
I don't know if this thread is for requests or not but if you want one I drew one for the last page
Just seems like it would be more fun to get more people drawing in here rather than just the regs, especially since we are in GD now

I know I'm late by over a year, but my god. Cute girls in uniforms make me HHHGGGGGNNNNN
May I ask for some cute as fuck lamias?
I could be an ass and just do a reinterpretation of the version of Lamia which is a man-eating shark-woman? I know dick-all about mythology, but google said there were sharks involved sometimes. So here's just like, some chick with a shark bandana. The one above took me an embarrassingly long time. I'll maybe keep coming back here though, because I suppose it was probably good for me to start trying to draw stuff more from my head (or by drawing from a bunch of reference images, rather than one big reference-person). I should start considering practice as a social exercise more, rather than sitting apprehensively in a room by myself. Maybe eventually I'll actually develop some kind of style, or actually use my drawing tablet.

It's nice to see some traditional work actually, don't see a lot of finished stuff online very often, usually just sketches
Yeah, the steadiness of the lines here almost makes it seem like it was done by a machine.
I would draw the cutest girl but I don't know what OP looks like

looks masculine. i.e. cheek bone, nose, and jawline.
looks masculine. i.e. cheek bone, nose, and jawline.
everything you've said could be equally feminine. The jawline isn't particularly angular and the cheekbone is just.. normal. The nose I can agree is a little large so a bit masculine appearing but is also rounded and without a prominent bridge. Quick rundown of masculine and feminine facial differences I have learned recently (none of which are solid just common variances. I've been looking into it for non-art purposes so its not really specific to drawing or stylization just information in general that can be useful to keep in mind): Men have larger and more angled jaws, the main place this will show in stylized drawings is width of the jaw (feminine jaws can be angular, but smaller than the cheekbones, where masculine jaws may line up closer to the cheekbones) and in the chin, which is wider and flatter. Male noses have a more prominent bridge, and are generally larger Male eyebrows rest lower on the face, closer to the eye, lower on the forehead ridge, sometimes even below the point where the bone sticks out to the "eyebrow ridge" Men have larger foreheads, partially because lower eyebrows partially because hairline is a bit furthur back then women guys have "droopier" eyes (usually) with more lid showing, where girls tend to have wider "doe" eyes without much lid showing, guys also usually have more prominent bags under their eyes making the eye socket in general more clearly seen. Might partially just be because most girls wear makeup to cover eye bags though A big thing to consider too is hairstyles, of course it is going to vary but the biggest difference between girls and guys haircuts is parting. Most guys haircuts don't have a part, they simply originate from that hair swirl thing and is brushed forward or spiked up. Girls hair, even a lot of the shorter styles, has a part, somewhere in the middle or off to one side. The biggest thing i noticed with this was that her hair is all brushed forward from the back, which looks odd. I can give example images (or doodles) for any of these if my explanation isn't clear, cause i haven't slept in over 24 hours so who even knows what i'm saying edit: oh also guys eyebrows are usually a little closer together than what is considered attractive on women, varies pretty heavily though. For girls though generally the inner edge should line up with the inner edge of the eye and outer on a diagonal line from the edge of the nostril touching the outer edge of the eye to decide the outer edge of the eyebrow
So I recently was cleaning out the attic and I found my two old half stuffed elephant, half blankets. Seeing as they were my favorite toys as a kid, I figured I'd attempt to humanize one of them for shits and giggles:

did I do good? [t]http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/34109641864119384/9D1729EB8F66F8DD657647079D73867881156CFD/[/t] ps: What is a good art program to use? I got my first tablet recently.
Woooooo, improvement! I finally got off my lazy ass and started practicing. Overall, I think it's ok for having been drawn on my phone.
