Well you can't go in being treated like you're somebody. The Marines, are brothers, and to be brothers you must start from mud and go through hardship together...when you earn the title of Marine then you know you aren't cannon fodder.
I'm not saying you should have a 5 star hotel treatment, no. But at least get shown some form of respect from your superiors. After all, you're going to put your ass in a warzone and risk your life. And you should be treated like a hero for having the balls to put your life in line for your country. Not just "amount to nothing" because the only thing that amounts to nothing is cannon fodder.
Hopefully the ping will be good where you are going. Also how many head shots do you need to get to get new camos?
call of duty xD Seriously though, be safe man.
Good luck
I def. will tell you guys about it, and tell ya about what guns I get to shoot. My fiancee is going to get a tattoo of whatever gun I get my first confirmed kill with. (Not that I want to kill, but I figured in this job, it's gonna happen, and it's part of my life now)
You and your wife sound real fucking creepy.

Drill Sergeants and Drill Instructors absolutely love to play mind games with privates and recruits. They're not just going to train you, they're going to fucking indoctrinate you into thinking that you are among the best. It's so silly how Marines break down the roles of the Infantryman into more specific roles. You should be interchangeable to anything with in the Infantry. Fuck, I trained to fire mortars but my old company had me walking around as a machinegunner and assistant gunner.

You got some good guys in the army, and some bad ones, some good in the Marines and some bad ones....it all comes down to the person. Thanks bro, and Semper fi.
