Project Zero, the 'Broken Neck' ghost. SHIT.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl Agropom Research Facility (underground) and that god damned Bloodsucker. Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth Right at the beginning when you first see the Yith. In fact the game got less scary for me towards the end as it became less of a puzzle game and more of a shooter. And by far the most horrifying: Thief: Deadly Shadows The Cradle. Oh gods The Cradle. The Cradle! The Cradle had me paralysed with fear. Not jump-out-of-your-skin or boo! scary either. Proper fear.
Three words... Afaird of Monsters.
Here, have some pills.
When I killed the first boss of super mario DS,(Bowser) with Bowser falling in the lava and he tries to get back up but he's a skeleton. I'm fucking serious. Lol.
Why are lots of people afraid of FEAR? Once you realize that you are a super hero, and that Alma can't really kill you, it's not scary.
Well that bitch is still trying to scare you. and she fits with the atmospear so well. It gets spooky D:
In stalker, I was escortin a guy. He hid behind some scrap, and i hid next to him and start looking for bandits, I turn right, nothing. I turn left... (THAT´S NOT ME, But it was exactly like that only a LITTLE closer )
I was playing Metroid Prime, bottom level of the phazon mines. It's pitch black and I can't see a thing. Walking a long, I kill some Metroids and walk into a tunnel trying to get out. Then all of the sudden from behind "SCREEEEECH" *head suck*. That game flipped me out more than once.
i hate STALKER. I played it on a Gamecafe. someone was on that X18 labs or something and some crazy shit was ALWAYS happening D: Bricks where shat!
Playing Bioshock in the middle of the night for the first time. Oh god
I was scared shitless by the demons in the first DOOM game :v:. God i was such a wuss when i was a kid.
Most of FEAR. I never completed it. The really old survival horror games like silent hill 1 and resident evil 1 - there's something about the ugly graphics and difficult controls that make them terrifying.
Here, have some pills.
They just keep appearing out of nowhere! I'm going to go crazy!
I'm actually most scared of Cod4 dogs, I start to panic everytime I hear them bark or run at me. On the one where the homeless dog is eating the dead body I was sat there sweating hoping it wouldn't run after me.
In SSoC I was in the bloodsucker village for the first time...good lord, I nearly pisssed myself
As I've said before, when I press /played in WoW, the amount of time I've played in game scares me. But generally most scary moments turn up for me in multiplayer games. Especially Battlefield, where a tank turning up outside the base I'm guarding with just a rifle and grenades is pretty scary, especially when it's another person against me.
-The beginning of Sandtrap in HL2. Sorry, I wasn't expecting a zombie barracade :tinfoil: I had enough of Ravenholm already :crying: -The long dark hallways in Penumbra (the free demo version). -The first time I tripped an alarm in System Shock 2. Being gang-raped by a sudden army of Hybrids, which are creepy enough as is, is basically a pants-shitting moment :ninja: Ton's more I'm sure. That's all that came up for me, for now. Edit:
And that's not even mentioning THE FUCKING PLASTER STATUES
Shit don't remind me of those. Those damn plaster statues that whispered and moved :argh:
Well the most recent one was the Laughing Octopus boss battle in MGS4. It's just that I'm just naturally anxious and get really paranoid during those kinds of parts in games...
Resident Evil. Not sure which one, but I had all the lights off, and the volume was up. I was calmly walking through a hallway with windows, when two rabid dogs busted through the windows. I screamed and dropped the controller. Best game moment ever.
When you go through the hall in FEAR, it's all red, and the door shatters when you walk toward it. Turn around for the other one, and Alma is like, right in your fucking face. I nearly pissed myself.
Literally scared the living shit out of you? Wait, you want us to post moments when a games frightened us so much that we shit a living, self-sustaining organism?
Why are lots of people afraid of FEAR? Once you realize that you are a super hero, and that Alma can't really kill you, it's not scary.
Because she's always popping up in your fucking face in a dark room with scary music.
Didn't happen to me, but when I viewed this video for the first time it made me jump like 20cm on my chair.
LOL ME TOO
F.E.A.R.
in I think it was F.E.A.R I was movin' through a complex( played it at a friends house) then I've played many games where shit pops up so I suspected something to come out at this one corner when I went around it nothing. *sigh of relief* one step *BAM* I think alma popped out but that scared the living hell out of me. also the first bloodsucker in S:SoC that was placed beautifully
I was playing STALKER, and I finally got to the Agropom Research Facility part, I went in, and got past the first part. I got to the bloodsucker part but that didn't really scare due to the fact I was fighting a bandit or whatever already so I was on the defense, plus, I'm used to playing Halo and seeing the elites cloaked so I saw the bloodsucker. The part that DID scare me is the last tunnel. I just got in it, and saw a dead guy on the ground so I looted him. I go down the tunnel wondering why there's no people. I get to the ladder in the next tunnel part and hear a really loud noise, louder than ambient noise. I turn around to where I was before and a controller was standing there. I didn't know they existed at that time so I didn't expect their attack. And anyone who has played STALKER knows their attack. So i move to the side, out of it's sight, switch to my M203, and shoot down the tunnel, then did it again so it died. I then proceeded to go back down the tunnel, unload a clip in it, and teabag it. Then I went on my way.
The zombie in cs_deadhouse near the kitchen. Also the ghost cars in GTA, it feels awkward seeing them roll down the hill with no driver.
In rp_cscdesert on gmod, I spawned combine, hid near a corner, then went out again and one WAS RIGHT IN MY FACE
In Gmod, when you spawn a npc fast zombie, then it screams at you as soon as you do it. :/
i remember in Resident Evil on gamecube when i saw the zombie rip that guys head off, and i was about 10 at the time it sacred me shitless
