I hug my 30 lb cat, Lucky. I shit you not. He is 30 lbs. When I was about 17 or 18 I was surveying in local woods, when I heard meowing coming from the highway behind me. I looked to see what this familiar sound was, to find an orange kitten running towards me, a huge truck barreling towards him. I ran as fast as I could and snatched the kitten up in my arms. His litter-mate hadn't survived the encounter with the truck. I looked at the kitten to find that he was covered in ticks, and he had a burn on his nose; he was in terrible condition. I brought him to our van, and fed him some of my cheeseburger. I brought him home and put some cat food into a bowl while I convinced my parents to let me keep him. My mom had finally let me, but my stepdad was still reluctant. I took the kitten to the vet to get him patched up. Turns out that he had stomach worms as well, probably from eating dirt. The vet took him into the back room, and returned with a bowl full of at least 38 ticks. His weight then clocked in at about .98 lbs. In 4 years, he is now 30 lbs. He's easily pissed off, but will eat anything. He likes cantaloupe a LOT.
