Speaking of screamers, I got a little story of myself: I usually never get tricked by screamers. I always check URLs, read comments before starting videos, google suspicious stuff, turn down volume and everything. Except for that one fucking day. It's now at least two years ago. I was browsing a "scary stuff thread" on a different forum (a German forum about Call of Duty). People posted scary stories they experienced and it was very interesting to read all that stuff. Some also posted scary pictures of real ghost towns, old facilities and shitbrix pictures where some scary faces are hidden in. I had my volume turned down, checked URLs, everything. And it worked, nothing startled me so far. After watching some of those shitbrix pictures, I opened another one, still thinking it was just a jpeg. So I didn't check the URL. Of course this one was .gif. I stared for several minutes at the picture. It was a room, I think a kid's room or something with a ton of stuff lying around. There was also a window and you could see that it was dark outside. I thought there's a hidden black guy again outside of the window or so. So I kept searching. I also kept browsing the thread and switched tabs, so I had the picture opened for at least 5 minutes or something which supported my wrong thoughts about the safeness of that picture. I switched back to the tab with the shitbrix pic and kept looking for the black guy. "Where the hell is he" I thought and moved my head closer and closer to the screen. And then it happened. One of those handicapped children whose bodies age too fast showed up and danced around or something. It scared the living shit out of me. For around 10 seconds I couldn't breathe because I wanted to inhale too fast. I never experienced this before, I thought I'm going to suffocate. It felt like I was frozen, I couldn't even move. Seconds later, I somehow could breathe and move again, grabbed my headset and threw it against my computer screen really hard. Fun fact: There was no sound playing at all. Then I pushed myself off my desk so hard that my office chair ended up crashing against my bed on the other side of my room. I was lying there for half a minute or something with my hands covering my face and still breathing really fast. I could feel my heart beating so fast that it almost hurt me. I went back to the computer, closed the tab as fast as possible and searched for my headset. I've put it on again just to hear a friend of mine saying: "Hey dude, whats the noise?". I was still in a fucking Teamspeak server. And of course I didn't use push to talk. I wanted to tell him to close the picture because I've sent him the link (still missed that it's a .gif though god dammit) and was mumbling "close the picture close the picture close the picture". I couldn't talk normal, I don't know why. My arms and legs were tingling so hard that I almost couldn't feel anything. "Is it a shocker?" - "Yea fucking close it man QUICK." - "Oh, okay, alright, what was the noise dude?" I told him what happened and that I can't believe that a stupid picture on the internet scared me so much. "Oh, I bet it was your scream then?" Huh, what? I couldn't remind myself that I was screaming. At least I could speak somehow normal again: "Ok, dude now you're talking shit." Then my mom came into my room: "Why the fuck are you screaming around?! Im trying to sleep!" My friend wasn't talking shit. He told me that I sounded like a little bitch screaming in a super high pitch voice. But I couldn't remind myself at all that I was screaming. That was really weird. I kept chatting with him a bit and then went to bed. At least half an hour later I could still feel the tingling in my finger tips and feet. And thats the story of the scariest moment in my life. Nothing startled me that much before. I won't link the image here because I'm still too fucking afraid to search it. Im feel like traumatized and I bet I'll get an heart attack just by seeing the stupid room in the picture again. I bet some of you already know what picture I'm talking about. I bet most of you will even find it funny. I have no idea what the hell was wrong with me that day. Just one thing: If you want to post it here, please link it. Every other video that wasn't already some internet phenomenon was a screamer, it was horrible.
