Dear lord above us,
Please, do not give me unwanted erections.
Especially when I am working at the pool where it looks like I have a fucking tent there.
I do not need to be considered a sick pervert by another mammoth of a woman that comes onto the pool.
Is it because I am an asshole? If so, is every man an asshole? Are you feminist?
With love, your creation.
Protip: clench your buttcheeks. I guess it redirects blood flow or something because it helps me get rid of those "penis what are you doing I didn't call for you" moments.

Also for y'all that are running out of data try to find a copy of adguard if you are on android. The free version blocks website ads in your browser and the paid one blocks in apps. Saves so much data. Or just adblock for Firefox instead of chrome.
I installed firefox + uBO extension on my phone a few months ago and it save AT LEAST half of my data. Fuck sites loaded with shit full HD video ads and fake virus/redirecting ads.
Ugggh. Why do my friends always want to skype? They always want to be in a skype call even when we aren't doing anything. Not just voice either, video! Why do we need to video call when we are just goofing around in a game? Why do we need to use skype at all!? There's ingame voice chat!
Jesus Christ what the fuck is up with SH sometimes.
People are unironically saying that they wouldn't care if climate change-deniers dropped dead.

Cross-posting my adventures from today.
What a shitty "date" I suppose is the best word.
So I chatted with this girl online earlier today, and I wasn't really interested but she said she was going to be grilling steaks and asked if I wanted to join her. She also said she was 19, which I have my doubts about.
Now, I love steak, so I couldn't turn an offer for free steak down.
Anyway, I get to her place and disaster strikes. Firstly, she's dressed really badly - like camo skirt and top that barely fits badly. "Yeah turns out my dad wants the steak so we can just go to Olive Garden because I have a gift card for there".
Ok I say, even though I don't like Olive Garden, not wanting to be a dick since I drove all that way anyway. But I was embarrassed in there, so much so I didn't really want to eat and only had soup. Conversation was dull, start getting the feeling that she's not 19 when I asked her if she's planning on going to school and I couldn't hear exactly what she said, but it sounded like "When I turn 17/18".
Also learned that she went on a few dates with a 45 year old guy with 3 sons, Wowza.
To cap that portion off, I realized I had no change for a tip, since I generally don't carry cash and I wasn't expexting to go out to eat. She had a few quarters.
Since I wanted to kill time before going home I agreed to go to the mall since it was right there. It beat awkwardly sitting at a table, as she was in a changing room for most of the time or applying for a job (which I used the oppertunity to walk around).
Then I took her home and never looked back.
Felt this was just the best place to get that off my chest. I also should have realized I wouldn't get a free steak from a complete stranger, oh well.
I didn't get steaks and that made me very mad

At least this other girl I've been talking to invited me over to cuddle and watch movies on Friday.
Score.

that's the thing though, everyone under the sun compares the game to bioshock despite the fact that even the themes aren't even that close. Ones a retrotech 1960's drug dystopia and another is a steam punk 1960 city wide apocalypse / dystopia. The issue is that there aren't that many 1960 style games to boot. Bioshocks a linear shooter and We Happy Few is a crafting survival with an iffy grounding.
its like, sure, they have very similar elements, but when you're comparing games, it's not fair to only look at the theme. Otherwise, every dark fantasy game would be "Similar to dark souls" and every norse game would be "Similar to Skyrim". The two games are fundamentally different on massive levels. I see this shit all the time with crafting games or games with voxel graphics, they instantaneously get contrasted to minecraft the moment someone whose familiar with it sees it, depite the game being different on a sweeping level. I even see people comparing Stalker to Fallout, despite being even more different than anything.
What I was wanted to say in that post is basically, why should the game be the same as bioshock just because it's the similar thematically? Why should the theme make it so that an entire game is massively changed?
[editline]27th July 2016[/editline]
Personally that's shit that annoys me, when people compare something that isn't actually that similar at all. People should stop comparing every dark fantasy game to dark souls, because souls didn't invent the theme. If you're comparing them THEMATICALLY then it makes sense to do, but just because something shares a common theme doesn't mean it should live under its shadow and have everything else about it compared. All of a sudden people consider the game to be worse because it's 'not dark souls enough'.
I do agree that if a comparison is barely there that it's not that good of a comparison, but if someone makes a note of the similarities, it's pretty obvious there's something there to compare.

I wish mods would have understood that changing the ratings and banning for joke posts didn't do shit to make that section better. 9 times out of 10, I'd rather a joke post than 25 pages of people arguing bullshit.

What I am angry about is that politics appear to be made through stupidity and not logic. If a politician says global warming is a conspiracy, I say let them have fun with the repercussions of that. If you deny something as drastic as global warming, you are actively contributing in ruining the planet even more, not just for this generation, but for many to come. That is why I am apathetic to their life. It is their decision to deny them bringing ruin to the planet, it is my decision to not care if they die. I'm not sorry if that seems insane to you, because it is more insane to me to deny facts trained scientists are presenting them, and constantly shout about this nonsense to get others to believe it, who unfortunately have the right to influence decisionmaking. This is why I think democracy is a nice idea in theory, but it doesn't work in reality. What other alternative would work? I don't know.
I am not saying I prefer death over anything else. I'd love if they could stop this shit and help solve it while also influencing the public opinion. But they don't so they can keep their consumerism. I'd prefer them to not die, but if it just so happens, shit happens.

I have an interview in two weeks, and I want it now so I can get it over with and get a job
Why does it take so long to receive money to my bank account? It's supposed to come yesterday.
I keep getting calls from random numbers that are just computer voices asking to call back, and texts claiming I got a voice message with shady links underneath.
I'm not falling for your stupid scams, asshole. All you're doing is wasting my time. They would be better off sending Nigerian prince spams to retirees.
I wish there was a simple way of blocking these cunts.
It turns out one of the two units I have left (in addition to a thesis) for my masters is only available in the first semester. How long is this shit going to drag on for?
One of my friend in school is annoying as hell.
He often called me "kid" "chinese". at first,i think he is trying to be funny,so i ignored it,but as the days progress he is fucking pain in ass.
Worse,he acting like he is a cool and badass person (that failed horribly) not to mention that he often interrupt me when speaking to someone
I hate and love spicy food at the same time. It's great when going in, but it's hell coming out, and it's a fucking nuisance inbetween.
Had to cycle home while delivering mail because I felt a big crap coming. As soon as I planted my ass on the seat, it was like a flood dam opened.
Finally writing a message to a person to explain how I felt about their current situation AFTER MONTHS OF BEING TOO SCARED TO DO SO!
I think I just loved my friends twice as much, now that they encouraged me to do this!
Remember this? Yeee, I posted it on the shit that makes you happy thread yesterday!
Want to know how well the message turned out?
I didn't get an answer (I know the guy I sent the message to is active, btw.) and someone who seems to know that person told me that the guy I sent the message to does not give a shit about my feelings and wishes me death.
After 3 years of being their best and ONLY actual friend, I get this.
I am actually in the state of crying right now because of this, I tried my hardest to help them for this long and all I got was their friend to say "Oh yeah, that guy wishes you death."
Great.
Don't you just love a phone with a battery so shit it drains 1 - 2% a minute while browsing one light tab on the internet?
I trusted word of mouth on this forum and upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10
So far I've seen absolutely nothing better and every impression I've got of it screams steaming pile of shit.
I didn't put quotation marks around that because I haven't yet figured out how to stop it taking inputs like an american keyboard. Its low down on the list of things to fix next to disabling Cortana and cleaning my taskbar.
I wanted to do something as extremely simple as removing that shit stain of a program microsoft edge from my taskbar. Couldn't drag it off, couldn't right click and unpin it, of course it was too simple in W7, so I right clicked the taskbar itself and tried to fiddle around with the options in there. That menu froze. I hadn't been able to close it, not even with task manager for the last 10 minutes. I was halfway through writing this post when it suddenly closed, and then microsoft edge opened for some fucking reason, and that wouldn't close on demand either, forcing me to again go into task manager. In fact I've figured out that Microsoft edge is such a worthless load of shit that I can't actually close it without task manager at all, not that I needed any more reason not to use it
In fact, I'm now figuring that in general I can't do something as basic as right click apps in the taskbar like it seems to be intended. Yet right clicking still opens those apps.
The program that's supposed to introduce you to windows 10 or whatever when you start it up for the first time broke. Crashed and left me with a black screen.
Why is Windows so non-verbose?
Whenever you do a process that takes a while, or a process that shouldn't take a while but is, you get SO LITTLE INFORMATION about what's going on. Too often is there no progress bar and just an animated fake progress bar in an infinite loop just to say "something's happening!"
Linux is nice. If something's going wrong or if it's hanging somewhere you can identify exactly where. Windows? I guess some people are just so offended by that sort of information existing that they wouldn't allow anyone else to see it. Like, they're not satisfied to hide it behind a "Show me more" button... it simply must not exist.
I thought I was buying a cassette to aux adapter on Amazon because that's what was listed as the item, but what I received was just an aux cable. :tableflip:

No shit sherlock, the entire point is that windows explorer broke and RMB caused apps to open completely flying in the face of logic
Sounds like you need to fresh install win10 (or revert back to win7, you have 30 days left to do that), because some old program is porking your windows in the wrong way.

LMAO I love it when a program with no debugging symbols just "Segmentaton fault" out of nowhere.
I guess you are more familiar with debugging on linux but don't let that blind you when there's tools like Process Explorer, windbg and other graphical disassemblers.
Obviously, both systems are made for different kinds of people, and the tech-illiterate are fine with buying new hardware and reinstalling windows when shit happens. Obscurity is done to lessen the burden on Microsoft's end, locking options out to make home users' system' less diverse and more cohesive, so overall the average system reliability is higher than before. Programmers have less bugfixing to wade through, and only the most blatant ones that even bugs the manager gets fixed. If you know your way around the system then it has the tools to let you look there, but that's it.
I'm not defending anyone there, your complaint is legitimate and I agree that we need more info so we can fix it ourselves, but that's not in corporate interests.
Older brother's on holiday with his girlfriend, younger brother's got his girlfriend over, leaving for her place for two weeks on saturday and I'm stuck at home for the rest of the summer. Only marginally worse situation than last year.
Oh joyest of joys...

A good friend of mine from another site has been dug into a shitty situation and I feel mighty bad for him. I'm worried about it because he's tried his damnedest to make sure he wouldn't get stuck in a money-related problem but all that happened and he's going offline for a while until he gets things sorted out, if he can get out at all. It just sucks to see him so down because he's a real chill guy.
My system BSOD'd and it fucked up my OS install. I've gotten BSODs infrequently and I though maybe updating my drivers fixed it but nope, apparently not. The only error message it gives me is SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION which as far as I can tell can indicate several different issues and doesn't tell me much.
