I couldn't play any of its games til 2009 though because no internet :( I was stupid and didn't know that Steam required internet connection for even installing the client.

Weirdly I had this same issue but with the standalone version of Portal. The fact you can buy physical discs but still need to download it to play is just stupid. The only valid part is needing a Steam account but even that much wasn't made obvious because it's in fine print hidden on the back of the box in an easy to miss location even if you're looking for it.
Exactly. Where as I bought BF3 for $30 on Black Friday and even at that price I regretted it because that game simply wasn't for me. I can see why they charge what they charge and I can appreciate the effort I simply didn't enjoy it for some reason.
