So anything that actually counters your view is beside the point? That's a very idiotic way of defending your point.
Not really. More filtering out a very slight minority of casual personal computer users.
Every study and research into the matter says otherwise though.
Every study? Really? Just a quick Google search yielded http://www.apa.org/news/press/releases/2000/04/video-games.aspx and I can imagine that there are plenty more studies out there that suggest violent videogames can have a negative effect on those that play them.
Not really. I wish Rockstar would just confirm or deny a PC port of GTA5 already. Literally every thread about GTA has a least one post complaining followed by a page of complaining about the complainer.
I think that violent videogames can definitely have a desensitizing effect on young children and that anyone who believes otherwise is kidding themselves.
Same with every other form of media. First it was comic books, then it was movies, then it was rap music, now it's video games. Who knows what it will be next.
[thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c3/Ford_Fairmont_sedan_2.jpg[/thumb] I think this looks like a nice car.
Same with every other form of media. First it was comic books, then it was movies, then it was rap music, now it's video games. Who knows what it will be next.
Next would obviously be real violence desensitizing kids to violence.
PCs will probably never be the dominant gaming platform for core titles due to the ease of use associated with consoles.
and not mentioning the cost of not only sustaining an internet bill but also having to buy monthly subscriptions to play the games to their full extent after buying the console.
you don't have to pay any monthly fees for any ps3 game worth playing I know of, and you still have to pay fees for mmos, micro transactions etc. also you still have to pay an Internet bill for a computer? So where was that going? Derp

So where was that going? Derp
what would be the point of getting a PS3 with the PS4 around the corner with all the potential games coming out with it? that would mean buying 1 console for 1 game then another console for another game. you are also assuming that all PC gamers play subscriber-based games which are a small fraction of PC games in reality. even if subscription-based games were the majority, you still factor out that people may not have the money to support playing it.
Stairway to heaven is nothing special. When I once said that to a group of people they all looked at me like I just killed their pets.
I thought Half-Life was good, but its 'expansion packs' (Blue Shift + Opposing Force) were obscenely difficult, too rushed, overpriced, and boring compared to the original game.
I think SA has a better community than FP. tbh, most of the FP community = pretty shite
The first season of Breaking Bad was kinda meh (but I loved the rest)
[thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c3/Ford_Fairmont_sedan_2.jpg[/thumb] I think this looks like a nice car.
It's not what's on the outside of cars. It's whats on the inside. So long as it doesn't break down and the interior doesn't feel shit it's great. I don't realy see why people want to pay tens of thousands for a car when you can get a great one for less than a thousand pounds.
Do you understand the fact that I outright refuse to acknowledge its existence because its very nature is rhetorical?
Your personal opinion doesn't detract from the fact that it still is a valid subculture. [editline]22nd September 2013[/editline]
ok no hipster wears a zep shirt and no-one hasnt heard the whole stairway song its been shoved down everyones throat since the 70s. in fact if you havent heard all of stairway you are a better person for it
and this as well the only people wearing led zep tees are dads and 13 year old kids who believe in "real music"
Half life 2 was shit.
Queen's performance at 'Live Aid' would have been pretty disappointing.
Facepunch seems to not understand that you can't just up and remove Israel. The mass displacement of civilians would cause problems, and mass death would be inevitable. Looting, terror groups, all that stuff. It'd be better to just get a government that's more open to negotiations with the other states in the area.

I just want their government to stop their crazy "eye for an eye" bullshit that is just making the situation there worse.
Who is talking about removing Israel? [editline]22nd September 2013[/editline] They do need to stop their inane bullshit, but so does Hamas.
The only reason why Obama won is because he's African American.
Vote for me or your racist should have been his slogan
Stairway to heaven is nothing special. When I once said that to a group of people they all looked at me like I just killed their pets.
It's a pretty good song but it's not Led Zeppelin's best so I don't know why it's so popular
Hideo Kojima and his games are overrated
Hideo Kojima and his games are overrated
I rarely ever see or hear anything about him outside of his twitter and LMAO pics
I think SA has a better community than FP. tbh, most of the FP community = pretty shite
There's a lot more quality in the posts over there, although most of the people deliver it in a backhanded way. Especially in all the megathreads about random hobbies games etc. I miss megathreads in GD.
It's a pretty good song but it's not Led Zeppelin's best so I don't know why it's so popular
It's that way with a ton of bands sadly, like a flock of seagulls and I ran.
Valve should start bribing developers to release their games on the PC. One may think that they have no incentive to, but i'm sure that having more reasons to delay HL3 is a pretty big incentive for them.

[sp]I still think Lowtax is cooler than garry[/sp]
I feel as though I am the only one who hate Borderlands 1 and 2 with a passion. Oh and I also hate Saints Row IV.
I feel as though I am the only one who hate Borderlands 1 and 2 with a passion.
Borderlands 1 was a pretty decent game, though it was a lot more fun if you had friends. The difficulty scaling compared to the second game is much better in my personal opinion because BL2 practically punished you for playing singleplayer. Not only that, but BL2's health and damage increase as you leveled up made a lot less sense imho.
